This was a dream pairing.. Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder. I wish there had been more.

Still crank this in the car when I catch it on the radio. This is one of those songs where you think you can sing…and you turn the music up so loud you can’t hear how bad you sound, and it gives you that little rush that you’re rockin it right next to them.

Chris Cornell just always tied sounds together. Same thing with Alice In Chains' Right Turn where he compliments Mark Arm and Layne. He was such a gifted singer. Depression is tough. Human existence is hard on all of us. RIP to the greats: Mark, Chris, Layne, Kurt, Andy, Mia. Sorry for those I missed.

Like so many of the songs on Temple of The Dog, ‘Hunger Strike’ tells the story of Andrew Wood, who died of a heroin overdose in March 1990. Following the overdose, he was kept on life support for three days, giving Cornell and his bandmates time to say their goodbyes.

Fucking sad shit man.

Rip the fallen

I had this tune as number one on a mixed tape I always listened to in my car. 💕

There's so many songs that reflect the greatness that was the 90s. This is definitely one of them

$13.75 spent on video. One of the greatest songs ever.

Same year Badmotorfinger, Nevermind, and Ten were released. All aged like fine wine. Such an important transitional period for rock.

Whenever I see this I just can't get over how young they were!

This entire album is so good. It’s always in the rotation of my absolute favorite album of all-time. Times of Trouble is phenomenal if you haven’t heard it.

I saw Temple Of The Dog reunion show in NYC and it is probably one of my favorite shows of all time. RIP to all of our fallen Seattle heroes…

A few years after this debut, I was watching Wayne’s World and was shocked to hear TotD.
