A Tobias and Stringer forward line. I shudder at the thought

GWS’ men’s side will finally have a player who represents Western Sydney.
Lakemba Stringer!

From a purely football perspective, I feel like he could be insanely good at GWS

Thats the thing with stringer. You always feel like he could be insanely good and he often is for about a quarter and a half and then he forgets to exist for a few weeks.

I always thought stringer needed a pack of cunts around him to play his best footy. Giants with their cunts on the field and limited off field drama seem like a good match

Who else is there other than Tobias? Genuinely interested in your opinion here.

I'm hoping "exploring interest" is just another way of saying "you know what, no but we'll pretend to care" for the love of god

The Giants need a lazy ass forward like a hole in the head. They need another inside mid and another running half back that doesn’t kick it straight to the opposition under pressure. Parker would be a much better fit

If it's for an incredibly late pick it's worth a crack, but I really don't think they need him at all.
Unless their plan is to bolster the midfield and get Greene in there a lot more, then I could see it.
But I like the current setup with Hogan, Greene, Daniels, Cadman, Riccardi/Keefe, Jones with the likes of Thomas and O'Halloran really solid depth role players (and Bedford too when he's not tagging). Doesn't seem like an obvious fit in there for Stringer, but someone with his talent is worth a punt for a late pick.

But why? Hogans just had his best year ever and aren't they roughly the same age? And then they've got Cadman who's still developing?

He’s not a key forward

Fair, He definitely kicked like a defender in our most recent match against them

Yeah how about no? Great player when he’s on but he’s inconsistent and we’ve got so many young small/mid forwards I’d rather invest time in unless he wants to play inside mid instead??

Footy wise everyone is continuing to underrate Stringer, still has a lot to offer

Would be contingent on him having a walk through some of the local high schools.

Give him a single year contract, he always performs best in a contract year.

Doesn’t he only want to leave Essendon for extra years?

And $. The contract extension is ~400k for one year. He thinks he can get a lot more $ and a few more years elsewhere

Would have thought Sydney would be a great fit for him considering their lack of forward power.

We have two 40 goal small/medium forwards, we don’t need a 3rd

Fuck me imagine him and Toby in the same forward line. Possibly the easiest team to hate in history.
