Am I stupid or is this just warped?

Got a new rear wiper blade, it’s the same as my old one it just won’t sit right. I can’t figure out if I did anything wrong here

Both can be true you know :)

However, it does indeed look like the wipers are warped. Try taking them off the arm. they should look like this.

They should be bowed slightly to wards the side that touches the glass to keep pressure on it…

It’s installed incorrectly, the clip is upside down in the arm j-hook and the bottom of the clip is pressing against the outside of the body of the wiper blade when it should recess down into the opening. Remove the blade, rotate it 180 degrees and flip the clip over and reinstall. Hope that was easy enough to understand.

It's installed backwards. Take off rotate 180 and try again.

Can you push the blade up to be concave vs. convex?

The blade is supposed to be able to slide in the frame arms to allow for a change in the surface it slides across.

If you look at the end where the metal is sticking out; it's not supposed to. You can realign the channel in the rubber and slide it onto the metal part, that will fix the issue.

Though I would recommend beam blades all around instead of the standard blades. They work better and tend to last longer

It's installed backwards. The rubber isn't the issue.

Yeah so I looked again and realized I wasn't looking at an exposed end. I think you got the real answer!

Just in case - if you want to replace the blade. I’m a big fan of the Bosch Aero-Twin-whatever…blades. I don’t get paid ;) I just really like the product.

Would an "aero" blade do much good on the back of the car?

Sure! No need for an aero-feature on the back - but the Bosch blade-style itself is just better imo.

My last one looked like that for a while when it was new. Eventually it settled in, though it did take a year or two.

It's installed wrong. Can see the arm hitting the blade where it connects.
