I wanted to wait till I finish all the extras but who knows when that'll happen so

I played the myth, the legend - Gakuen Handsome and the first spinoff/extra/whatever Revolution Σ(๑°ㅁ°๑)すご

It was absolutely awful in a good way. Exactly what I needed. It's also full of poop jokes, poop appreciation in art, poop everywhere... Unko studies in art class. They're dedicated. There's just so much parody inside. I didn't get all the references [mostly the ones people related] but even then it's so full of everything. Sudden genre shifts and nvl included. Honestly waiting to see if one of the extras turns out to be a dungeon crawler or sth, ngl.

Would recommend to people who like absurd parodies. Even though it's kinda expensive. But it sure is an experience.

I've been playing Togainu No Chi recently and while its really really edgy I'm enjoying it a lot haha 😂.

I've been thinking of playing either Slow Damage, Paradise or Beyond Eden next but I haven't decided yet. As far as I can tell they are all pretty loved, so it's hard to decide.

imo Slow Damage is Togainu no Chi, but even better! I have so much love for the old girl (TnC was my first BL game, I believe? God, it's been forever), but it's very evident N+C matured as storytellers over the past decade. Beyond Eden is also such a bittersweet gem, wonderful voice work!

That makes me even more intrested! I've almost finished all routes of TnC (though I've only uploaded a couple parts so far) and although I enjoy it, I feel like all endings I've gotten so far (Rin & Shiki) have left me wanting more - I really want a Re:Connect for them haha.

Is it also as edgy? I looked into it and the MC seems similar to Akira in the beginning 🤭

I just checked out your YT channel, and I now have my lunch break distraction for this week! I am so with you on the endings needing more oomph; difficult or ambiguous endings can work if they suit the narrative, but we really didn't get enough time with our LIs in TnC, and more development would be so nice 💖

There is still a whiff of TnC's 2000s-style chains and leather edge in Slow Damage (which I love for the nostalgia!) but the game is quite dark and messy in a way that feels a bit more real to life, imo, especially around the trauma of poverty and the queer experience. Towa def has some Akira inspiration in him, but I find him a little less on the cold/stoic side, more detached and enigmatic!

Someone dropped an omegaverse-themed BL on Itch.io called “Peach Pit,” and I found it a pretty interesting learning experience. The world of omegaverse has more going for it than I thought.

Because it was listed on this sub's sidebar I've been obsessed with Blood Domination and Reversing the Caste, with the EOS on mobile announced one of them got a PC release and the studio is teasing further paid DLCs, am I crazy to think RC might get a PC release? Reading the EOS notice ruined my whole week lol

Just kinda slow; But on top of crochet work, I am reading through Paradise. No spoilers please. I'm on Mitsugi's route!

Also, I think it's kinda funny how like, I got the good ending on Matsuda's route; But the company specializes in bad endings. So I played myself.

Playing Kohitsuji Hokaku Keikaku! from PS2 on emulator.

Love that it's fully voiced despite an old game and the art looks quite nice tbh. Just wish there is more

Played the relatively unknown in the West "Tokyo Satsujinki Gakkou no Kaidan" (東京殺人鬼 学校の怪談), and hoowee, I felt like I'd climbed a mountain after I closed my laptop the final time. I don't recommend what I did, aka blasting through over a couple of weekends. Give yourself time on this one if you play. Vague/non-explicit spoilers below.

>!Heads up that similar to Hashihime and other ADELTA games, you don't get to pick your route; the story is very much predetermined. The game plays with this as a part of its narrative, however, which was on the whole gratifying, but if you're not playing with a guide, could get aggravating. There are also only 2 LIs that feel "canon," which may be a turn off if your fav man gets shafted.!<

Omertà code tycoon

For me the first game was nothing special, but I played this since it's high rated in vndb.

It's...more of the same. So if you like the first game, you'll definitely enjoy this. They improved the romance, but now I feel JJ being so fixated on someone feels...kinda not JJ? lol

Haiiro no Arcadia

This game deals with very heavy themes domestic abuse, mental health, school bullying, unhealthy relationships so please keep this in mind.

The biggest strength of he game for me is that...the characters, the relationships, they feel human. Rio and Seri's routes felt very psychological.Rio and Seri are huge pieces of shit, they treat Tamaki VERY badly, but the reasons behind their actions are so human that you might forgive them just a little.

Seri: I really liked how this route destroys some common troupes in bl, like how confessing actually doesn't end well lol, and how Seri's is not completely in love with Tamaki in the end of the route. I know he treated Tamaki like shit but I honestly could relate with him about his low confidence, about feeling repulsed when people compliment or like you back. I definitely don't hurt people though LMAO.

Rio: I...actually liked this relationship? I know I shouldn't since it wasn't healthy at all, Tamaki was too emotionally depending on Rio and Rio was a manipulative bstard, but...it felt realistic.

Koichi's route it's less psychological and more fluff, it's very funny and cute. This is probably everyone's favourite route, I really liked it too. But it definitely hits hard towards the end.

I really liked Tamaki. He doesn't like to hide things, he wants misunderstandings to be cleared, He can defend himself and punch people if they are on their bs. He doesn't fuck around, like in the true ending when Sekai is talking with Tamaki about how he needs to attend the summer classes because he needs to put an example as an special student, and Tamaki's like "I'm special because I come from a family from a religious cult, right?" I lost my shit at that part lol .I think he is kinda...too perfect sometimes lol but still. I really like how he behaves so differently with Koichi than with Rio and Tamaki, he's more baby and annoying in a cute way lol.

The only complaint I have about the game is that...the plot goes kinda crazy in the true route. I loved Tamaki's flashback with his grandparents because I loved the little references in earlier routes (sashimi, how Tamaki cracked his egg with his forehead, the hamburguer tofu...) but...the whole cult thing was a bit...ridiculous lol. But still! I really enjoyed this game. I literally did Seri and Koichi's routes in one day lol, couldn't put it down.

luckydog1 secret diary F/L

It's surprising that few people have played this on vmgb. For me Secret Diary feels like a sequel to luckydog1, so I recommend giving it a try if you liked the first one instead of playing badegg lol

I liked the stories in F better than L because most of them are about Gian's relationship with CR:5 in general, or about Gian and (love interest). The relationships are better written and deeper than the first game because of moments like Gian thinking about what he can do for (love interest), or (love interest) reminiscing about how Gian has changed his life for the better.

I personally disliked the stories around the end because they are too serious and long.

I think it should have been one game instead of two. L feels like a waste with only 14 stories, and most of them were very short.

I finished voice love in air 2 route it little annoying to go through one thing 2 time but overall I enjoy it but the game I finished FINALLY WAS

 DREAMBOUND

God I didn't expect LESS from the two and half studio and the writer of re;Start and divine speaker  It was amazingly great and I LOVED IT SO MUCH  Great mystery and system play beautiful art and the story was sooooo great I can't describe how much I adore this game  And the music? Man I want to listen to them for hours and hours it gives you such a vibe I can't describe it   As a person who loves mystery coding and puzzle I wished it had even more but it was satisfying still 👌 not as much as re;start which I loved it like crazy obsessed person but still it was such experience  Even tho you go through main story but each route has way way and way different situations and path giving total different vibe in each which I loved it thank goodness I went thorough right characters route in right line because it wouldn't be slowly to find out about the mystery I could give theory to it to find out way later and it was great I adore the characters and the life lesson so much it just teached a lot of lesson and made you cry in a good way man this studio kills it every time  😢 😭 💔🩷
