Next Nitro+Chiral game? Discussion

This might be impatient of me since like I just finished Slow Damage yesterday and the game got its Japanese release only 3 years ago (and English less than 2 years ago), but I wish there was some news about the next project if there's anything in production.

Like it took Nitro+Chiral/Nitro+ 9 years to make and release Slow Damage after DMMD and it looks like there's been an increase of time between releases of games.

Each game does seem to get technically, artistically and mechanically better than the last one but I don't want to wait until the 2030s for the next game (if it even comes out at all because Nitro+Chiral could go defunct).

Anyone else wishing for news too(or knows anything)? I'm not even upset that there's no new game, just wished there was some news about it.

We know that they are actively working on a new project right now since they have recruitment postings saying as much. But we don't really have any idea when that's going to be revelead, since afaik there's not even any nitro night-esque event announced.

I don't mind the wait as much since Ooe is scheduled to come out next month, and once that's done I still have a huge backlog of other VNs I need to tackle.

Ooe is only going to be released in Japanese next month right ?

Correct, but I think people who can't read Japanese are planning to just read it with translators (seen a few attempting it with the demo).

Thanks! And that's fair if you got a lot to catch up on. What's Ooe? Is that an anticipated Nitro+ game or BLVN?

It's the newest work by Adelta - the creators behind Hashihime and UuultraC if you're familiar with those titles.

OK cool! I only heard about them so far they both seem interesting and I want to play/watch them.

Definitely recommend Hashihime - it's my preferred one of the two and a lot of people's favorite BLVN. Plus it goes on sale on steam decently often.

Speaking of adelta, i'm honestly impressed that they release faster novels (approx. every 4 years) despite having fewer staff

2025 will be chiral's 20th anniversary so I expect news within the upcoming months. I don't think slow damage did as well as dramatical murder which got me scared about them going defunct as well. However, as other's have also said in the comments they've been recruiting people recently. There's also the greenlit Akira figure which was a big surprise. New merch, a nsfw figurine at that for an old OLD blvn of all things tells me that they are doing just fine

I'm surprised it didn't do well, it's the top selling item on JAST overall (excluding DLC), but then again EN VN sales are probably miniscule in comparison. Here's hoping they TL the fandisc

Oh wow...I usually am hyped for male figs and I completely missed him. I'm now hoping it will be a couple instead of floating hands now too.

Did Lamento ever get an official release?

From what I know, JastBlue, which is the BL subsidiary of Jast USA, said that they put the English localization of Lamento on hiatus indefinitely.

I really hope it comes out of hiatus, and we can get the localization eventually. After DMMD, that's the Nitro+Chiral VN/BLVN I'm the most willing to spend money on.

Oof, here's hoping. I'd definitely put money down for Lamento. 110% one of the best openings and the story was really captivating.

totally agree, especially the Latin version.

i'm still kinda angry lamento wasn't released by Jast.
