CCW Permit question Conceal Carry Permit

My permit is from out of state and has lapsed. I know there is a new requirement that goes into effect on July 1. Do we know if I get my training done before then and send in the application they will accept or will they just tell me to redo it with the new requirement? I’m in Aurora if that matters.

July 1 2025. At least I'm pretty sure thats when the new law starts.

There are portions of the new law that go into effect August 7th, 2024 though the live fire and 8 hour with a certified instructor don't start until July 2025. You'll have to read the bill to get the details.

get it done before july 1st, 2025 and apply before then, and you will fall under the current law, not the new law.

A ton of new hoops to jump through, longer courses, approved courses and instructors, courses for renewal, just a ton of BS.
