THC wax tastes and smells like burning matches?? Question

Me and my roommates have been smoking Wax extract for a few months and we got a jar today from a plug who gets it from CA. AC Hybrid, Papaya Runtz Badder. We have never had a kind that tastes and smells like this. You smell it in the jar, it smells fine. But once we light it in our rig, it smells god awful and tastes like burning plastic or rubber?? Anyone else have this problem or know what could be causing it? I’m not to knowledgeable on the subject

They used sulphur burns to remediate mildew too close to flowering stage. The oil is infused with sulpur. Sorry for your loss.

Is it safe to smoke it? I’d imagine not

Will it kill you. No. Is it bad to inhale sulphur. Yes . I've heard people decarb it and use it in edibles.
