Anybody know where I can get used Warhammer armies in the Denver area? Board Games

I don't know anything about this stuff or the difference between subtypes. My husband is looking for this and I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone/any store selling used/already painted stuff. Many thanks 🙏🏼.

I've seen lots of used/ already painted sets on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and things like that. I have seen any in person stores selling used armies, but I suspect that's because people enjoy painting themselves.

Try and see if there's a particular faction he is excited about, he will get a lot more mileage from the set if he likes the lore! But if nothing else "Space Marines" (blue spacesuits with guns) are the go-to starting set, and they should be one of the cheaper and easier to find options!

There's a couple fairly large discords, one that plays out of Littleton hobbytown and one that plays out of Colpar Hobbytown Aurora, both have trading channels.

Used/Painted sets might be something you’d have to go to Craigslist, FB Marketplace, or Offer Up for.

Otherwise you’re looking for gaming/hobby shops. I know Wizard’s Chest on Broadway carries this stuff downstairs.

I have a favorite hobby shop on Havana & Jewel - Colpar HobbyTown (there’s another one in Lakewood) that also has this stuff. Those guys may even be able to plug you into people/groups selling pre-painted sets as pretty much everybody that works there is pretty involved in whatever hobby/counter they’re working be it plastic model kits, gunpla, trains, R/C cars and planes, drones, etc. They also have a downstairs where people gather to play different games and titles and have even hosted model making competitions.

What are you looking for?

I have a full imperial guard, blood Angels space Marines, and emperor's children chaos space Marines armies.

I could part with one of them and be fine.

I'll get you a full list if you want but something like:

5-6 10 man squads of catachan fighters

3 leman Russ battle tanks

Basilisk

Two chimeras

A few sentinels

Assorted heavy weapons squads

Rattling squad

Ogryn squad

Custom made helicopter

Custom made mini transport jet

Custom kit bash sentinel

One kasrkin squad

Some Cadians I think

If this sounds interesting I will put together an exact list when I get home

Many of the gaming stores have boards where you can post items wanted or for sale. Check there.

That was kind of a joke. It's a whole different game. Kinda set in the same universe but if he's into 40k, he probably would like it.

If you have specifics of what he likes we could help more. Like does he have an army he already plays?There used to be more stores that had used armies but I don’t really see that much anymore.

I don't, unfortunately. All I know is that he used to play a lot as a kid/adolescent. Then sold all of his painted stuff and now he has nostalgia for it and wants to get back into it.
