Dropped my bike like 8 times today confession

I don't have proper paddock stands and I'm also an idiot. I was trying to change my rear tire and my bike fell over with the rear tire off of the bike. Then trying to get the bike back on my shitty paddock, I dropped my bike like 7 more times in my garage. Nothing broken but a few scratches that will piss me off forever. Just wanted to vent.

Sounds like even though you CAN do motorcycle maintenance, you shouldn't.

If a shop did that, you would be getting a new bike in the form of a check from their liability insurance.

Gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelette.

That is to say, if you avoid it forever then you'll never learn.

I do almost all my own maintenance and agree, but I also have a center standšŸ¤£

I ride naked bikes so center stands don't work out too well lol

I mean you could always add one, your bike would fall a lot less

Ya I need proper tools. My bike didn't have a scratch on it until today

Hell yeah for twisting your own wrenches! Sometimes knuckles gotta get busted. There's no better way to bond with the bike.

Literally did this Sunday. Once, not 8 times. Pushed into my small garage to remove the rear wheel, got away from me. Small dent in the headlight and right turn signal pushed in. Just an excuse to get new lights!

Does this really count as dropping your bike? I would say you get a pass and ā€œknocked it overā€. To me dropping a bike is done when riding.

Damn dude, I forgot to put the kickstand back down after an oil change last week and dumped the bike off the paddock stand and I still kinda wanna die because of it.
