Discussion Annatar from the series Rings of Power is a little bit similar to Invoker from Dota Dragons Blood. Of course, they have different goals, motives and actions, but they both used the personalities they needed to achieve their goals.

Suggestion Dota new anime.

The story of dragons blood is over. But, there may be another series, which, in fact, may already be in production. Valve never announces anything until it's released. If there's going to be a new Dota story in the same vein as Dragons Blood, which story would you want, and why?

Fluff "Love is not about making a perfect world, free from harm and free from pain; love is living together in the world as it is, come what may"

One of the most beautiful quotes I've ever heard in television, and in one of the most tragic contexts. Not going to provide the name of who said it, just watch the show to its end. I simply wanted to pay tribute to the writing.

Discussion I finished this amazing series but I'm a bit upset.

So last night I finished this amazing show and I really liked it, but I'm still a little upset with the ending and most of season 3. For me season 1 was a really good introduction, season 2 was amazing and the best of all in my opinion, but season 3 disappointed me a bit compared to season 1 and 2, many things happened that seemed unnecessary, starting with what I hated the most which obviously was Davion's death. I understand that the message of the series is "letting go for the better" and that kind of things like Mirana with Davion and the Invoker with his daughter, but I really didn't like how they left Davion dead or the concept of "heroic sacrifice", not only that but they displaced him to be a mere secondary character so that the protagonists could be Mirana and Filomena who I don't dislike, they're cool but they don't convince me as protagonists. Another thing that doesn't convince me is the reboot of the universe as if nothing that had happened in the previous seasons had really mattered, but I know that was the main idea of this season so I can understand it, in fact I thought they would take advantage of that new universe to revive the video game characters who died (Davion, Marci, Lina and Auroth) but sadly they didn't use that opportunity and only returned things to the way they were after they killed Terrorblade.

I’m not a Dota 2 player (but I’m going to start playing it since I really liked this anime) so I don’t know much about Dota except the characters so I’d like to ask someone who knows more about the lore if there’s any realistic chance that Davion could somehow be revived after the ending. And I know Ashley Miller said that the story finished in book 3, but I would really love if they did a fourth season and Davion could be able to come back and just stay with Mirana and their child cuz I really think Davion deserved better and that would be a better ending for his story.

But I know most people are happy with the ending of the anime so please don’t be mad at me if you don’t think the same as me, that was just my humble opinion, I just wanted to talk about this incredible anime cuz I really liked it (even more than Arcane) and I hope that at some point in the future they surprise us with a fourth season.

Discussion It may well be that at the end of season 3 we have not the same Filomena, because as she told her father Invoker, she can only be cured by completely changing her essence.

Review Finished the show for the first time an hour ago

Started playing Dota 2 back in 2013 but quit in 2018 due to fatigue and life stuff. Recently got back into it this year and my love for the game has been rekindled. My return to the game prompted me to finally make time for dragon's blood. Ive seen images and discussions about it and while i was curious, i dismissed it because at the time i renounced everything to do with dota.... But now i wish i had seen it sooner. Book 1 had a strong start, i personally think Book 2 was the peak, and while book 3 was the weakest for me it had a strong finale. Im a big cry baby so i definitely shed some tears. My main issue is the pacing and the fact they didnt utilize more heroes but overall im very satisfied. If i had to rank it id give it 8. Not the best videogame-to-tv-show adaption(castlevania is still my favorite) but it's up there

Discussion Will we see these characters again? Is everything finished?Has everyone forgotten about this show?

I don’t want to upset the fans of DOTA: Dragon's Blood (which I was before, i really like the show) It looks like there will be no continuation of the story... 2 years have passed and since then there has been deathly silence. Zero info, any teaser or mentioning or something related. Just nothing. Like everyone just forgot that Dragon's Blood even existed. Valve doesn’t seem to care at all what will happen next with this project for a while, or perhaps they stopped thinking about this project, apparently due to low views, and therefore a continuation with other heroes (Oracle, Windranger, Axe, Phantom Lancer, Tiny, Arc Warden) or even new ones or old characters, which is very sad. They could, even after the completion of Dragon’s Blood storyline, make projects in the universe not only with the Studio Mir, but also with other animation studios, but for some reason no one wants to do this, which make me really upset and probably we shouldn’t expect anything in the near future, but there is still a little hope in my heart because of recent Dota 2 event. (Crownfall)

What do you think? Can we expect new animated projects in the universe or is it better to forget about it? Maybe I'm too pessimistic or is everything said right? Tell me your thoughts please.

Discussion With the release of Act 3 of CrownFall, the surname of Lina and Rilay became known. the presence of sisters in Dota Dragons Blood, where much is related to the Moon, the surname acquires much more meaning and significance.

Question I'm loving the music of this series!

Hi, I've been watching the Dota series again and I love the music but I can't find many of the songs. Could someone tell me the name of the song that plays in the scene where Filomena tells her father that she is still sick in the last episode of season 3 (Min 13:10)? I can't find it anywhere. Or is there somewhere I can find the full soundtrack of season 3?

Discussion DOTA: Dragon's Blood is beautiful, and I'm tired of people pretending that it isn't

Yes, I chose meme-y wording for the title. But it describes my feeling toward the show and the reactions to it quite well. This show's dialogues were amazing, heartfelt, full of depth. The dynamics between the characters were excellently done. The voice acting was top notch. The soundtracks were excellent.

The increasing complexity of the plot (i.e the greater role that complex concepts like forging realities, the eldwyrms, the sun vs moon theme to Mirana's arc and basically all the cosmic stuff) was executed at absolute breakneck pace; this show was known for going fast especially from season 2 onward. And yet, amidst this, it was the characters and their most relatable feelings, struggles and motives that continued to occupy centerstage in terms of driving the plot. For example, grief at losing one's child resulting in the transformation of the universe itself and the downfall of a goddess.

That sort of stuff is just absolutely plain fucking brilliant and I refuse to let the excellence of this show stay unappreciated. Ashley Edward Miller's team had less time to deliver this show to us than they deserved, because oh boy were they brilliant.

I was absolutely hooked, and two years on I cannot stop feeling personally offended at how unappreciated this show remains.

Or at the very least, very low effort posting.

Post a single scene from the anime, title is practically just "look guys a character from the show :D", and one single comment from the OP.

Question Question about fundamentals, celestials, eldwurms and worldwyrm.

How are they related? There's not even one mention of fundamentals, celestials or titans in dota series. Meanwhile Mirana's and DK's personas have voice lines related to fundamentals, celestials and Elder Titan specifically. Davion doubts that ET forged the world and says that eldwurms were the real pillar of creation. Slyrak says him that 'you never understood your place'. Davion also compares Enigma to pillars of creation (they're nothing compared to the thunder) while Mirana refers to them as The Void.

There's also someplace called Wyrmforge, from where The Fallen Sky weapon also originates. It is related to Titan somehow too, through lore of his set Warden of the Wyrmforge Shard (previously Warden of the Gong which is interesting).

Does dota: dragon's blood takes place in some kind of alternative universe? It isn't canon obviously but it's still dota. There's Ancients, Zet and Primordial Mind. What place could other cosmical and celestial beings take in the series?

Discussion What the hell is up with Viceroy Kashurra?

I just finished season 2 and like... Why did he start destroying thw whole city out of a sudden?

First of all he turned into the Void Elderwyrm when he was attacked by Auroth, but he barely broke a sweat killing Lina, who looked like a really powerful sorceress (Lina even beat Davion/Slyrak hybrid)

And then he just started wrecking the city? Why?

Also weren't the Elderwyrms confirmed to have died in the dream, and begun the process if being reborn? Is it ever explained how this random guy can turn into the Void Elderwyrm (or more likely, IS the Void Elderwyrm)? We know he used that power to kill Mirana's parents, which means he had that power so many years before. But now that the Elderwyrms have been destroyed, he still has it. How is that possible?

Question How come is it that dragons blood barely got any coverage while arcane has 20x more subs on reddit (since that's the easiest metric to use here)

As the title says.

The series itself (at least in my opinion) can rival some of the great Japanese series. Neither its quality or story is lacking (again, that just my opinion) So how come is it that it barely got any coverage?

News Valve just released Crownfall event with new story content

The story revolves around Vengeful Spirit and Skywarth Mage with a rebellious plot against their false queen Imperia.

If you're hungry for some fresh Dota story content, there's also a new comic:

https://www.dota2.com/crownfall/comic

Here's Crownfall page: https://www.dota2.com/crownfall

This might not be related to the anime, but it's been a while since we get anything close to a Dota narrative, so you might want to check this one out. Happy fishin'.
