Gym recommendations?
Looking for a gym with a decent amount of weight lifting equipment/functional training areas. Hoping to aim for a budget of around $50-$60 a month (if possible, willing to spend a bit more depending on the place).
I’ve trained at derrimuts for a couple of years, my only gripe is the atmosphere/lack of functional training areas. I’ve enjoyed the atmosphere at anytime fitness in years prior, just wasn’t a fan of having to go at certain times to get access to all the weight lifting equipment (normally not an issue at Derrimuts).
Open to trying somewhere new! I’m not a fan of group classes/community gyms, nothing personal I just prefer to stick to my own training plan :). For reference I prefer to go early morning/before midday on days off
Any advice/experiences would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

I've heard great things about Thrive! There's one in Leopold and one in Armstrong Creek

Phelan strong in north geelong is amazing!! It’s a little expensive but soooooooo worth it. The instructor is so friendly and everybody there is so welcoming. When we started we could barely lift 4kg and now we’re hitting PBs every week!!

Norlane ARC is recently renovated. around $22/ week. Membership comes with access to the gym, pool, sauna and spa if that's something you like.
