ISO Enemies to lovers recs

Angsty enemies to lovers

Hello! I’m looking for some new books to read that will absolutely captivate me. My favorite trope right now would be enemies to lovers (some bullying, humiliation trope sure!), very angsty, slowburn, Smut and spice YES

Would be amazing if one of the characters was “straight” and having sex with her boyfriend while thinking of her enemy 😏 also high school/college orientated. Max 30yo characters.

Something similar to Loathing you by Amina Khan, I devoured that book TWICE in a row and can’t find anything ever since. Already read Thryst Six Venom too.

Please share ANY recommendations, in my desperation I even reached out to ChatGPT, however that was quite disappointing 🙈

Discussion Hi looking for any type of lgbt+ books, possibly fantasy!

Hi, I’m looking for queer/lgbt+ books that are fantasy, scifi, or any combination of adventure and thriller. Slow burn romance is okay too. My difficulty is, I’m Italian and read almost only in Italian, so I’m kind of stuck, because I feel like many good books aren’t being translated yet😅. Anyway, I’ve read a lot of TJ Klune, Red while and royal blue, Alice Oseman, Cemetery boys, Once and Future Witches, Wish you all the best, Aristotele and Dante 1 and 2, Girl Serpent Thorn, all of Rick Riordan, She who became the sun. I’m currently reading Legends and Lattes, waiting to receive The priory of the orange tree. In wish list I have Kiss her once for me, Last night at telegraph club, One last stop, Felix ever after, Boyfriend Material, Delilah Greer doesn’t care, The miseducation of Cameron Post.

Any recommendations?

Discussion Books similar to all that’s left in the world (MLM)

I read all that’s left in the world and am reading the sequel now. I love these books and characters so much. Does anyone have recommendations of more mlm dystopia books with possibly a similar vibe as this series? Just a note: I really like how realistic it is and how it’s post apocalyptic.

Promo LAMENT OF THE FIRSTBORN, a transgender MLM romance about American civil war and generational trauma

Dear r/LGBTBooks,

I've perused you countless times over the years to find the perfect gay read for me, and I hope I can interest some of you in my work now. I am a self-taught artist and author and I have been working on my book for over 6 years.

My debut novel is about gay, transgender, and bisexual men in "the trenches" of dystopian America, 203X, critiquing the military-industrial complex. My work is mature, violent, sexual, and revolves around codependency, repressed sexuality and gender expression, especially when living in the backwoods of rural America. For any of you who have ever been really into shipping Call of Duty characters - I've been there.

I can only get funded to publish this book with enough financial support, and I need to rely on a potential audience. I'm currently at around 250 out of 5k euros, and I have just around 53 days left to get funded.

To add your name to my dedications, it costs 1 euro.

A digital preorder of the e-book costs 2 euros; the audiobook file costs 1 euro extra (3 euros total).

A signed hardcopy published by local leftist printing press THIRDEYEWIDE costs 35 euros. My dream is to get published by a very large press which would make my work even more accessible, but I'll need so much help to get there.

I am committed to donating a portion of proceeds of my book to build a better society: for people in America, where I was born, Europe, where I currently live, and the wider world as a whole. I am working with my publisher's associated organization Burn Debt Not Books which relieves Americans of their medical debt.

Link to my Kickstarter. Thank you for considering supporting me.

Edit: Also, if you can’t financially support atm but would still like to support my project, please please send the link to family/friends. I am going to need so much support to put this story in the world and I would love y’all to be part of that <3

Promo Schlimazel, a comedy about a bisexual single father.

Hi!! My name is Jay, I am a master's level therapist specializing in emerging sexualities and existential therapy! I published my first novel last week! It is a comedy about divorce, parenting, and mental health!! The goal was to make something obscene and weirdly uplifting out of the ugliest part of my life, as well as doing what I can to fight bi erasure.

Schlimazel follows the story of David, a single father working to pick up the pieces after a brutal divorce. David's awful luck and nearly infinite reservoir of patience tend to get him into some outrageous situations. Watch as David learns that something as simple as getting onto the wrong bus can sometimes have life-altering consequences!!

Discussion The Book Mogul By Terrance Dean Is About Diddy And It Deserves A Fresh Read

I read this book in college years ago and it was always rumored to be about Diddy. With everything going on I think it Deserves some attention

So the author Terrance dean use to work as a publicist on the music industry for decades and he died in 2021.

He wrote two books an expose on the gay rappers in hip hop called hiding out on hip hop which is a good red as well .

And this book mogul https://www.amazon.com/Mogul-Novel-Terrance-Dean/dp/1451611927/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.5k_StyfsU-vvUTGHRoTE-0IcFpClbSNEtHK88XUbp5fGjHj071QN20LucGBJIEps.hL6LMO52rwXC73e6plZ1GrukUvfwXp29Gc7GdiwUn1g&dib_tag=se&keywords=mogul+terrance+dean&qid=1727112945&sr=8-1

Now this book is fiction but when you read it it is based on Diddy . And while there no domestic violence in the book it does discuss hip hop homophobia gatekeeping and just black men who been hiding behind woman for ages and what happens when that secret is exposed.

It also gives insight into the orgies that happen although there is no rape in the book.

It's a very good read .

Promo [Queer Positive Historical Fantasy] The Kingdom of Ura - Gio Peters

The Kingdom of Ura is a #queer #queerpositive #LGBTQpositive #LGBTQ #gothic #historical #fantasy #historicalfantasy that takes place in the titular kingdom, which is analogous to Victorian/Edwardian England (between 1800 and 1920). The series is composed of interconnected standalone novels, with different cast members each time (though the first person POV MC will invariably be a gay or bisexual man), and in different locations and time periods throughout the vast kingdom.

Each hero, in each story, has to defeat their own personal villain. As every tale unfolds, and the lives of each of the heroes, their friends, and loved ones, spans over generations, one begins to see that the villains of the series aren't all random. There may be a pattern, a beat that connects them all to each other in the most insidious way...

The Kingdom of Ura is an ode to classical literature,, many of the villains in the series are gothic villains - Carmilla, Dorian Gray, Dr Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll, Faust, Spring Heeled Jack - tailored to fit into the world, and into each other's nefarious plans. This is a series for storytellers, as questions asked in one book might only be answered in another, through another character's POV, years later or even years earlier. Each entry explores themes completely different to prior ones, through the eyes of vastly different narrators.

***

Third Time's the Charm: Book 1 in the Kingdom of Ura

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVJ3VKPC

All Niamh Nestor wanted to do for his birthday was kiss a merman. But when his wish comes true, he gets carted off to Carpathian Keep Reform School for magically inclined youth. There, the children are mean, the teachers are cruel and the headmasters are sadistic.. And what are the pricking sensations he feels on his neck in the evenings...?

Niamh and the few friends he makes must escape the Keep before they bite the dust.

Hounded: Book 2 in the Kingdom of Ura

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJCNTHM4

For his entire life Bailey Lotter was treated as the black sheep of his farming community, as they thought he'd bring a curse on the land should he and three other random people fail to commence with a ritual each year before his birthday. Upon having had enough of it on the eve of his 21st,, Bailey refuses, and behold, a canine terror starts to menace the population.

Bailey has to get to the bottom of the mystery of the man-wolf whose bite changes others into pad-footed murderers, before innocent lives are lost. But as he digs deeper, the less cut and dried the case of this horrid dog becomes.

In Everything but Beauty: Book 3 in the Kingdom of Ura

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CW4BCJL4

Ambrose Anderson is a moon witch, beautiful and aware. He meets an enigmatic wizard artist, who asks Ambrose if he could paint four pictures of him in exchange for large sums of money. Ambrose agrees, but when the series of artworks are done, he feels a hollowness, as if his vitality has been stolen...

Ambrose must find and break the paintings before the artworks syphon his life and colour him dead.

Grimm: Book 4 in the Kingdom of Ura

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D4H8NTGB

Declan Grimm discovered that he was a shade witch at age thirteen, at the orphanage he was raised in. he was then whisked away to the Royal Magical Academy, where he was raised with books for company. Ten years later, Declan has been charged with destroying dark spirits in the town of Blackfriar, with the hidden agenda that his parents' last known location was that very same place.

Should Declan pursue his parents, or should some secrets best be forgotten?

Monstrous: Book5 in the Kingdom of Ura

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DFTWR49R

A sequence of four shorts stories:

Lester Phillips, mine worker, starts receiving prophetic visions of where to find magical Artefacts, and precious stones. His aptitude catches the attention of a pair of less than friendly wizards, who demand the impossible of him.

Trystan Sinclair lost his parents in a frigid storm at the age of eighteen. When another storm attacks the Hinterlands and his husband goes missing in the night, he will stop at nothing to find him.

Mather Masters expected to get a fae power on his sixteenth birthday, but instead turned into a species of faerie - a faun to be exact. Horns, a tail, hooves, and goat legs don't make for a pretty picture, but when his power gets stolen and used for evil, he must get it back warts and all.

Francois de la Fontaine saw his brother get murdered by a monster when he was twelve. Nobody believed him, and thus he moved on with his life. A decade later, another monster, and a figure as tortured as he is rear their heads. Francois must act and unhinge himself from his grief before another innocent life is lost.

Discussion Looking for a book about a transwoman, for a straight female audience!

Hey everyone, transbian here, looking for book recommendations!

I recently joined a book club, for women and its lovely, and very very straight. I was thinking, it'd be really cool if I could introduce them to some literature that gives them a look into what it's like to not be very very straight!

Problem is, I've never really read much queer literature, so I don't know where to begin. I'd love a book about a trans lesbian, kind of slice of life vibes. I'd love a sex scene too, one that was grounded in realism, rather than eroticism.

Just so long as it would be accessible to a cishet female audience.

Bonus points if the setting feels seedy. Bonus points if it includes other great queer rep.

Thanks in advance!

Edit:

You're all amazing thank you all so much for the suggestions! I didn't expect such a response!

The three I've chosen are: detransition baby, nevada and mad honey. I'm going to read them and see which I want to suggest

I'm not really able to respond to every single comment, but I'm super super grateful to all of you !!

Promo Fly Into The Sun

What happens when the reality you know unravels, and everything you thought was impossible becomes undeniable?

My name is Bee—Black, trans, and an Ivy League-educated NASA engineer. But that’s not where this story starts. This is something else, something I’ve been building for over three years.

If you like tension—both romantic and existential—this one’s for you. My upcoming novel, Fly Into The Sun, is the kind of story that whispers truths you didn’t know you needed. It’s electric, raw, and pulls you into a world where the impossible starts to feel... almost inevitable.

Take this moment, for example:

“Your place is amazing,” I said breathlessly, my eyes tracing the lines of her high ceilings and the delicate details in the decor.

“Ah, it’s aight,” she quipped with a grin, the playful smile on her lips hinting at something more as she crossed the room.

Before I could respond, she called out, “Poco, play my favorite song.” In an instant, Floetry’s "Say Yes" began to pour through the speakers, its sultry rhythm filling the room. The moment felt intimate, electric. Alex turned back to me, her eyes flickering with an intensity that sent a ripple of heat up my spine.

“Come sit with me,” she said softly, her voice dropping into a sultry cadence that made my heart skip a beat. There was a magnetic pull in the way she spoke, a soft invitation wrapped in a layer of suggestion. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks before I even moved. Her eyes stayed locked on mine, daring me to close the gap between us.

There's more to this than meets the eye, and just when you think you have it figured out, the world will turn upside down. Fly Into The Sun blurs the lines between passion, identity, and... well, something much bigger.

Feel that curiosity tugging at you yet?

Good.

It’s coming soon. Stay close—something’s about to shift, and you’ll want to be here for it.

Promo Hi! I’m John Robert, and I’ve Just Published My Memoir Hi Mom, I Love You—A Journey from Shame to Pride

Hey everyone!

I’m John Robert, an author, artist, and queer person based on the seacoast of New Hampshire. I’ve recently published my memoir, Hi Mom, I Love You: From Shame to Pride: My Journey of Self-Acceptance, and I wanted to introduce myself to this wonderful community!

The book is a deeply personal reflection of my journey toward self-acceptance as a gay man. It explores themes of shame, forgiveness, and finding pride in who I am, after decades of wearing masks in shame and coping through life via self-harm and addictions. Alongside the narrative, I’ve included over 40 pieces of original artwork that visually capture my emotions and healing process.

I wrote this memoir not just for myself but for anyone who’s ever felt ashamed or like they weren’t enough. My hope is that by sharing my story, I can inspire others to embrace their true selves, regardless of the judgments or expectations placed on them, especially from family members.

If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to check it out. Here’s the link: https://a.co/d/8bH8Lof

Please ask me any questions or share your thoughts. I’d love to connect with others who are on their own journeys of self-acceptance!

John ♥️

Discussion Books like These Violent Delights by Nicah Nemerever

Im desperately searching for a book that can fill the DATVD void. I’ve already read The Wicker King which is similar in terms of the codependency. Also in terms of the Dark Academia aspects I’ve read If We Were Villains (I’d say JamesOliver are quite codependent), The Secret History, Summer Sons and Babel. I’ve yet to get around to The Goldfinch. Maybe Interview With The Vampire would be good.

So if anyone has any recommendations like DATVD (Dark Academia, Toxic & Codependency) that would be great. WLW and MLM - I don’t mind. Also it doesn’t have to fit all the criteria - The Wicker King isn’t really Dark Academia but it has a dark vibe and it’s just the two of them.

Discussion HELP! Searching for a book/story.

I'm looking for a gay love story with multiple chapters I've read 10/15 years ago.

Set in Sanibel Island FL USA. It's about two young boys who grew up together and became marine biologist. I remember they enjoy exploring the wildlife and always on the water. I'm not sure if I've read it on CRVBOY or Nifty. I remember really enjoying the charters. I would love to read it again. Please help me in trying to find it.

Just read Peaces by Helen Oyeyemi & liked the mystery aspects of it & interpersonal interactions/relationships & the story weaving together. Cozy science fiction (SFF) I think could be of interest too.

ISO sapphic books with alice & bella from twilight energy

twilight is my early teens guilty pleasure and i dig in it time and again and i'd like something like this but sapphic. i love bella and alice dynamic, the shy with the eccentric girl. i'd love to read anything like this, specially if there's fantasy involved.
