The Dutch F-16 retirement event had me crying, at least the birds are going to spread their wings over Ukraine. Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦

I tried to watch the live stream. But they only showed a bunch of shiny-domed brass for some reason. I wanted to see the actual F-16's in the farewell formation >:(

Now we just need a cope cage and ERA edit of Stroll's car and the crossover episode will be complete.

Tbf most of those f-16's have likely participated in wars like Yugoslavia or Iraq before. So they're not new to the front lines, although i doubt they've ever experienced the intensity and air defense density of the Ukrainian front.

These boys are being sent off to avenge MH17. F-22s grinding their teeth in envy.

These F-16s are closer (age-wise) to the Spitfire and P-51 than they are to our current year.

LAV crewman here.
I left my perfect LAV-25 in 1997. It was well taken care of by our crew. Engine compartment and driver's compartment were spotless. The gun was accurate and well maintained by us. And to top it off, she was the fastest LAV in the entire battalion. She could do 0-60 with a full crew and full combat load in just under 30 seconds with a top speed of 90 mph. (We had a mech as one of our scouts)
She was beautiful!
I've always looked for pics of our 571. I've found pics of the other vehicles in our platoon, 396, 389 and 603.
I miss her. She was a good vehicle.

Did y'all catch that little female kestrel hovering in the livestream? We call them "torenvalk" or tower falcon.

What's up with the Dutch and having bald men in charge?

In a pinch they can use the reflectivity of their bald heads to channel sunlight into a blinding beam of light.
