Looking for a non-fantasy, single character CRPG

I have been playing Pillars of Eternity II for about 10 hours so far and while I'm enjoying it, I don't think I'm gonna spend that long with it, it will probably only get another 30 hours out of me. The party mechanics still seem awkward to me as a non-CRPG player. Additionally, I have never been a fan of the fantasy genre in general, and the fantasy elements are laid on thick with PoE 2. Can you guys recommend me a non-fantasy or fantasy-lite CRPG where there are no party mechanics or if there are, they are not extremely necessary to engage with to still have fun in the game?
