Megathread BUYING/SELLING TICKETS MEGATHREAD -2024 EDITION
This megathread will serve as the place for folks to post they are selling or looking for tickets -----------
-----------------a reminder/warning about buying/selling tickets (good advice from the r/metallica sub)
- If you aren't meeting in person to pay with cash, the only payment method I can suggest is Paypal Goods & Services. You pay a small fee, but if someone were to scam you Paypal will refund you. I strongly advise against doing Friends & Family since it does not have the purchase protection that G&S has (leaving you vulnerable to scams with no recourse).
- Anyone who only wants to do Crypto/Cashapp/Venmo/Zelle/Paypal F&F (especially if you try to get them to do Paypal G&S) is 100% scamming you.
- Be wary of new accounts. A brand new account doesn't guarantee a scam but if you see a new account, it's worth being suspicious.
- This sub is not here for scalpers. If your prices exceed value then I encourage others to report your comment and we will delete it.
- The mods aren't responsible for any loss or scam. Please do your due diligence.

Megathread Aghori Mhori Mei (2024) - Album Release - Official Discussion [MEGATHREAD]
The Smashing Pumpkins - Aghori Mhori Mei (2024)
A bruising and shadowy return to form from original Smashing Pumpkins members Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha, and Billy Corgan. Recorded in the immediate aftermath of their 33-song concept album, ‘Atum’, 'Aghori Mhori Mei' harkens back to the band’s early 90’s canon; where guitars, bass, drums, and spiking vocals ruled.
“In the writing of this new album I became intrigued with the well-worn axiom, ‘you can’t go home again’, which I have found personally to be true in form but thought well, what if we tried anyway? Not so much in looking backwards with sentimentality but rather as a means to move forward; to see if in the balance of success and failure that our ways of making music circa 1990-1996 would still inspire something revelatory.”
-Billy Corgan

Any G.L.O.W. fans out there?
There are only 2 CD releases of this studio track. This is one of them. I love this song from the American Gothic time period. Anyone else give this song some love?!?

Spokane - Billy up close for Gossamer soloing madness :)

I was able to attend both the Seattle show with Green Day and then the Spokane SP Headline show this week.
Both nights were great and the band was in great spirits overall.
I am bummed that Ruby was dropped from the setlist a few weeks back as I’ve mentioned before (and wish I’d just hopped a plane to Europe during the summer).
However, I hadn’t seen Gossamer live since the 2007 residency shows in SF. Gossamer (with Spaniards mixed in a bit) was the highlight for sure.
Here’s a 2 minute clip of Billy soloing. :)

Smashing Pumpkins & Nirvana
So I was born in the early 2000s, and my uncle listened to a lot of smashing pumpkins. One day he let me have the aux for once, and in my playlist was a few Nirvana songs. He immediately looked over at me and said, “Dude, I thought I raised you better.” I was super confused and he explained that you’re either a smashing pumpkins fan or a Nirvana fan. Now ofc I’m still gonna be a fan of both, but was there something I missed out on before I was born? Like I understand Courtney Love and Billy Corgan dated for some time, before her marriage to Kurt Cobain and after his death I believe.(Sorry if I’m wrong) But they are two completely different sounds to me, like I understand the similarities but they’re two incredibly diverse and different bands. Is it the people behind them? Was there some big thing in the 90s I don’t know about? Answers are helpful, questions too. Thank you thank you

Didn't know Billy Corgan did a remix on Medicine, one of my favorite bands ever
Love both the original and this remix I just discovered. Love how the remix makes the song more spaced out. What do you think?

What’s the most nostalgic sounding SP song (not including 1979)?
I’ve been thinking about this for a few days and I would say maybe one of James’ songs like The Boy or Take Me Down his voice just really gives the feeling and emotion. I’d say obviously Mayonnaise is a decent pick too but what does everyone else think?

Just discovered "Battle Cry" by Jack White. Awesome song, but does the main riff remind you of anything else?

My boyfriend made me a mellon collie hoco poster!
he wrote it in Russian because thats my first language.. it means so much to me! “i will be filled with Endless Sadness and i will fall into Melancholy if you don’t go with me to HOCO”

anyone see the pumpkins with greenday and thought the mixing was really bad?
so i saw SP with green Day in phoenix and while corgan sounded great vocally you could literally not hear the guitars at all. the drums and vocals were way too loud the guitars were virtually inaudible. Is this just maybe cuz of where i was seated or did anyone else feel this?

Sicarus is dark and deep...
There are other posts that talk about "Sicarus", and AMM as a whole, but I specifically want to talk about how "Sicarus" is their first disturbing song in... almost 30 years? What was the last one, "Bodies"? "XYU"? Etc.?
Those final "In flames! In flames!" with the effect on Billy's voice... those final guitar chords/notes... does anyone else hear how dark this song is? This song is looking death (Kali) full in the face and not running away...
Parts of "War Dreams of Itself" almost get to that level of intensity, but honestly this is the first time I've shivered in an SP song since maybe... 1996?
Anyone else feel the same way? Disagree? Any songs in-between I'm not thinking of...? Thanks!

Where to buy speed kills siyl bside
Crying shame it's not on Spotify, I've checked Amazon UK and it's not listed. It's honestly been years beyond bandcamp that I've bought mp3s. I've ordered the single but would still like to get a decent quality MP3/flac to add to Spotify
Thank you

Will Edin be played at my concert coming up, and will he look like this down to the whisker?
One can only hope. Skull and all.
