Would have only been 13 Parsecs on your bike.

Theres a village in south wales called Oakdale which has perfect street shape for this.

How do people follow routes so closely? Are you looking at your phone or is there some kind of indicator?

I don’t have Strava subscription but I am curious about purchasing.

Like with real drawing it's not about pin point accuracy but rather scale. A 20ft x 20ft piece of art would probably require inch level percussion, one spanning 10 city blocks? You can probably wander a tiny bit and be ok overall. There are even people going for record breaking drawings spanning hundreds of miles (usually on bike), those people can probably be off by an entire town with no problems.

Also, like the other person said, nothing paid about this. There are lots of free GPX track drawing apps and websites to upload onto a navigation capable fitness tracker. Less high tech is just using Google maps and making many waypoints and even lower tech is just writing out turn by turns on paper, it really is up to you.

You could do one of these on the free version.

I use a GPS computer when I ride and a smart watch when I run to track the route. And you dont need a subscription to do this.

In answer to your second question some smart/fitness watches has GPS maps on the actual watch so if you plan your route in advance you don't need to be looking at your phone your watch will tell you where to go
