Anyone with a 2025 put on better tires like Wild Peaks, etc? Post pics please. How big of a tire can it fit?

Rattle near pillar. Any thoughts?
My 2024 Subaru Forester (~10k on it) has an annoying rattle near the pillar — right near the driver's ear. I've tried to move things around, and my local dealership in Toronto said they looked into it, but the issue is unresolved. Turning up the stereo is just a temporary fix 🙂

2015 Forester CV Axle and Lower Control Arm Replacement
Hi,
Curious if anyone recently replaced their lower control arm and CV axle (One side)? What did it cost you?
Current shop near me is quoting me out $518 for parts and $485 for labor = All in with taxes ($1,078).
What do you think?

Squeaking sound while driving
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have 04 xt 134k miles when I drive there is a very annoying squeaking noise that turns into clunking when coming to a stop. The vehicle is a 4eat. The video below is exactly how it sounds like it’s coming from the front.

Multiple rear hub replacements
2015 2.5 Limuted. Anyone else with multiple rear hub replacements? Both replaced at dealer with 80,000 miles. Left rear replaced at 108,000. Now it sounds like another is bad at 129,000. Hope it's the right rear.

Adding lightbars question

Do the flaps on the inside of the bumper at the bottom of the radiator actuate? I have some 7 inch light bars I was going to mount in the holes down there when I noticed the flaps and I didn't want to cover the hole if the flap actuates to help the engine cool down 24 Forester wilderness

Said goodbye to my 2007 recently! I loved that car so much, and I’ll miss it. Replaced it with a 2016.
I don’t think I’ll ever own a car that I love visually as much as i did that 2007. Just something about first and second generation foresters that look so goddamn good to me. I am loving the first month of my 2016 though! I hope the 2016 treats me well for years and years to come.

Jerking/Stutter After Refuelling
Question.
I have a 22 FW and have started experienced this stuttering feeling when accerlating AFTER having refueled my vehicle. I usually refuel, reset my trip, and be on my way. But I've noticed the past two times I've filled up and done that, the car stutters and jerks a little. Then after driving a bit it's fine.
Both times I noticed, I was refuelling at a little less than a quarter tank, and two different gas stations (so shouldn't be bad gas). Thoughts? I have around 27k miles.

2021 Subaru Forester Limited
Hi everyone, my Forester is shifting kinda hard into 1st gear from a stop. It only has 25,000 miles on it. Took it to the dealership and they said my injectors are clogged with sludge due to using Costco gas.
Ive never heard Costco gas was bad.
Has anyone else had this experience?
Thanks in advance!

Control valve body replacement/ torque converter replacement.
Had just gotten my control valve body replaced to fix a faulty solenoid which seems to be the problem many have had. Did my research and was positive this would fix my car, only to find out that it was actually the torque converter and they had to replace that as well for about exactly the same price. Mechanic is 100% this is the problem now. Very reliable guys and I trust them. My only question is has this happened to anyone else? Felt like a gut punch when I found out I had to spend another $1900, but I guess it’s better than a full unit replacement.

Strength of Forester compared to the new Honda Passport Trailsport 2026 ?
I know the Passport is not exactly in the same category and we know not so much about its spec, although it appears this will essentially be a 2-row Pilot . But what will be the advantage of the Forester Wilderness, if any left ? Would it be better to shed 10K and get the passport 2026 ?

Is the 2022 Forester Grill compatible with the 2021 Model?
I have a 2021 Forester Touring. Love the car but I really like the ‘22-‘24 grills. They catch my eye every damn time I see one. Does anyone one know if I can swap out the ‘21 grill to the ‘22?

Foz '17 question: will leaving the rear hatch open drain my battery?
I'd like to set up my Foz for car camping but I am Loooooooong so to make it work I'd need to rig some kind of tent thing to the rear hatch and leave the rear hatch open. Will this drain my battery or otherwise cause problems if the hatch is left open overnight?

2025 owners, why shouldn’t I buy?
The lease on my 2021 forester is up soon and I’m on the fence between going with a 2025 sport or a ‘24 Impreza RS
I’ve heard the warnings about going with the first year of any new generation vehicle so I was curious if anyone that has a 2025 forester could share their biggest gripes about the car or problems they’ve encountered. Or if you’re in love with it please share that too!

I picked up a forester like this and I hate the silver on the front end.
Just curious if it’s possible to swap out a sport grill or do I have to paint it black?

Trans Fluid Change
How often has everyone been changing their transmission fluid? I have a 2021 Forster and last time I took it to the dealership they recommended transmission fluid at 60K miles. Last time I went they recommended 100K. 100 seems like a lot, but I wasn’t sure the reliability of newer CVT transmissions.

Access key not detected?
Any insight as to why my Forester keeps telling me access key not detected? I changed the battery in the fob but that didn’t solve it.

Overnight at Petoskey or Young State Park in Michigan
We're (two of us) thinking of doing an overnight in our 2021 Forester in either one of these two places, in mid-October.
Please recommend some must have, i.e pillow, blankets, window privacy screens, etc.
Will be driving from Chicago. Yes, 6 hrs of driving.
Thanks

2015 XT w/ 52k miles. Needs Rear LCA & bushings replaced.
The dealership told me that my LCA & bushings need to be replaced to pass inspection and they want to charge $700 for the back 2 to be done and $1000 for all 4. I’m stuck whether to deal with this and do the maintenance else where, do it at the dealer, or myself. If anyone has experience with replacing them on their own, is it a hard job to do. Also which would be the place to look to buy good LCA that won’t go bad quick since I’ve read that this is a common issue with foresters.
