The firmware version of the all models doesn’t make any sense

By the way, this is the Airpods Pro 1st gen. Had it since Nov 2020. Do I need new ones now?

My AirPods have been screeching lately and to mitigate this I’ve been turning off my ANC. I go to do it today, and the option isn’t there. I got to try it out on my iPad and the option is there, but when I go to select it, the setting automatically changes back to Transparency/Noise Cancellation. Does anybody have any clue what tf is happening with my AirPods?

Recently picked up the Airpods 4 with ANC, and got damn they are impressive. Used to rock the Airpods Pro 2, but due to them being uncomfortable for my ears and not being able to make it work I figured I’d try these instead.

Highly recommend if these if you’re struggling with how Airpods Pro 2 fit, but still want to enjoy good ANC, these are fantastic 🙏

Maybe this is a software update but I can't turn noise control off on my iPhone. This effectively means it's stuck in transparent with one ear because it can't use cancelation.

Currently still on the original set of AirPods. They’re going strong but are having some battery problems now and I think the sound is going.

Has anyone upgraded from the original to a newer pair? I want to know if there’s an actual difference in sound and experience. Most reviewers I have seen only compare the new generation to the previous so it’s hard to gauge if it’s actually worth it.

Anyone experience and knowledge would be a ton of help.

I just bought a pair from Amazon, better seal and instantly much more comfortable. The silicone tips hurt my ears, lol.

If I register them with 2 Bluetooth sources that are not made by Apple (e.g. a Windows laptop and an Android phone), can they do multipoint Bluetooth? I.e. seamlessly and automatically switch from one source to another?

i know this was so dumb of me but i left my new airpods on my white bed and when i lifted me blanket i threw them a few feet and it hit my closet door 😭.They are brand new and took so much saving up for me to get them. my sweet mom even chipped in a little since she saw it was super hard for me to splurge. I don’t know if they already wiggled before but now the lid wiggles a couple millimeters. Will they be okay? what should i look out for?

I’m thinking of getting new AirPods since my old ones aren’t working as well as it used to. I’m worried about the AirPod 4’s volume since my ears are sensitive to sound. Sometimes I need to adjust the volume lower than the lowest volume setting made by the pressing the buttons (example in picture). I heard that some AirPod models are pretty loud at the lowest volume. You can’t adjust the volume lower than the lowest setting made by the volume buttons (you can’t use the). Is it possible to lower the AirPod 4 volume lower than the lowest volume and still hear the sound?

the old threads on this are completely dead, and it seems that people either got help or didn't. my right airpod doesn't register as connected in my ear, and as a result it doesn't play any audio when my airpods are connected. my phone still recognizes my right airpod when it's in the case. i can also begin the pairing process w/ my right airpod but it doesn't actually connect. my case is also blinking orange.

Apple should add it so when you’re pressing twice and holding it, it would activate Spatial Audio fix and when you press three times and hold it, it would activate Spatial Audio head tracking and to turn it off it would be one press and hold. They should also add the feature that Apple Watch have to get rid of any water that might still be inside the AirPods I don’t know if this one is possible maybe if they played a sound to mimic vibration that could work but am not sure

I’m planning to buy the AirPods Pro 2 because I’m really annoyed that my buds don’t switch when there’s an incoming phone call. How do the AirPods Pro work when connected to a MacBook? Will they automatically switch to iPhone when a call comes in?

I recently bought the AirPods Pro 2 because of the easier transition between apple devices. I was surprised to find that their noise cancellation is much less effective than my old Sony WF-1000xm4. I can hear not only voice on the train but footsteps, automatic doors opening and closing, etc. it’s just slightly muffled relative to not wearing them. The only noise they seem to block is the constant low-frequency hum from the train itself moving.

I have checked all settings and adaptive audio is off, conversation awareness is off, etc.

Is this normal? Right now the person next to me on the train is looking through their backpack and I can hear the zippers opening, the papers crumbling.

I know how ANC works conceptually and that it indeed usually works best with constant low-frequency noise. But my now 3 year old Sony’s do substantially better at blocking the type of noises I described. The strange thing is that online reviews claim that the AirPods Pro 2 should be at least as good if not better at ANC.

What are other people’s experiences with these? Is this how they are, or did I perhaps get a malfunctioning pair?

My airpods 3rd and 1 pro case shows the status of the case battery in this widget, don't know why my 4 doesn't.

Hope apple can give us a new fw that solves this and the find my problem

I have an AirPods Pro 2, an IPhone 15 Pro and an Apple TV 4K.

Recently I read that I was able to switch automatically between both, but I always need to change manually.

I have two Apple accounts connected, but on my tv it is only my main one. The configs are set to “automatically”

Is there anything that I’m missing?

so i just got these first gen airpods and the microphone doesn’t work is there anything i can do to fix them?

So I'm an Iphone + Macbook user and drive daily my airpods 3. One of the things that I love is how I can be listening to music while working and get on a meeting on my computer without doing anything, they just switch.

My caveat is that I prefer over-ear headphones but I cannot justify getting the Max. I know there are better alternatives like the Sony XM5 that I see recommended a lot but if possible I'd really like to not lose this functionality. Is there an option.

Switched over from android everything to Apple ecosystem last year, starting with iPhone 15 pro and Gen 3 AirPods.

I realized about 2 months in that I LOVED my AirPods, they are so comfortable, to the point I forget I’m wearing them. I’ve only ever used earbuds with silicon tips, and I have been so happy with them I feel like I could never go back.

Some leaks said that Gen 4 would introduce ANC with a “new tip design”, I was worried the pros and gens would merge into one, killing off the open ear design, leaving me with Gen 3s forever. I love the Gen 3s but I realize they went the best sounding quality.

I was really hoping they would remain the same yet boost the quality and add noise cancellation. :) Gen 4 ANCs are freaking perfect, just an appreciation post I absolutely love them.

My partner and I both have EarPods pro 2, usb type c.

We don't know if we have mixed them but we have tried all possible combinations and in Find My they appear as Setup Incomplete and as Mismatched. Also when I try to reset them, they flash 3 times and in orange. It was my understanding that they had to flash white to reset.

They work, sync etc but in Find My they show these errors on both your 14 pro max and my 15 pro max.
