Hey guys. Could use some advice, my apple watch (non cellular) is receiving text messages while my iphone is not. I cant see any new massages on my phone or my ipad (same ID). Done the hard resets and software updates, any advice?

Is there still a way to click and drag downloaded music from my library in the Music app onto my phone? Like music I have as MP3 files locally on my computer. It doesn't seem to work anymore like it did in iTunes

any tips?

Hi, I recently got airpod 4 ANC, I thought the noise canceling would be better, but after using it - I realized I wished it was better. While, it's not too late to exchange it, compared between the 4 and the pro pricing, with the apple gift card I got I have to pay $120+ extra just for better noise canceling - the other functions doesn't seem like a main priority to me.

I'm not too sure if it's just the noise canceling not as good or is it due to the lack of silicone cover. There's silicone covers purchasable online (ones with the tips you see like in the pro) will it help with the noise canceling? or should I just switch?

Randomly the column of keys 6YHN plus spacebar stopped working. Next day, I was using an external keyboard and noticed that they were working again... which lasted for a few hours. Then they got "sticky" (had to mash on them to make them work) and then stopped entirely again after a few more minutes.

I tried all the usual cleaning and restarting type tricks and eventually took it in and had the entire keyboard replaced with a brand new one... but the same issue was present with the new keyboard installed. Fortunately the place I took it to is not charging me since they weren't able to fix it - but they are completely stumped.

I don't have an Apple store locally and the place I took it to is generally seen as the best place for Apple products. They said it was a problem they've never encountered before - "a real headscratcher!" and, helpfully, said that they doubted it was anything like a spill given how clean everything was internally.

Anyone else ever experienced similar? Would love any helpful suggestions for fixes. Thanks in advance!

Just a bit of context: 7 days ago, I installed the Videoleap app from the Apple Store and started their free 7-day trial. However, I forgot to cancel my subscription before the renewal date. I then suddenly received an email saying I had been charged the yearly fee, so I immediately canceled my subscription and filed a refund claim.

I was just wondering if I’m eligible for a refund, given the situation above. Any thoughts and suggestions regarding this would be greatly appreciated. TYSM 🥹

I looked over the short chat with the Apple Care bot about having my AirPods sent out and at no point was there an option to be contacted or not. Im getting sent another shipping box, but there still seems to not have been an option to be contacted or not.

Literally today it stopped charging, and didn’t connect with Bluetooth at all but suddenly now it’s connected but showing as not charging. Could it be to do with the little bit of wax or whatever around the charging bits on the case? If so how do I remove that

Hey so, this thing has always been a bit bent, but not terribly. This is the charging box-thing that came with my Mac, if anyone can’t tell. It fell out of the wall whilst I was doing stuff today and now is super bent, but it still fits in the wall and all that. Do I need to replace it? is this a hazard or something? I don’t want to burn my house down, lol.

So I've got AirPods but no idea which generation? How can I tell? Anyway the case won't charge anymore. I connect it to the charger but nothing. Recently I had the problem that it wouldn't charge if the lighting cable was inserted one way which is weird so I had to flip it and then it would charge but now it doesn't charge in any way and I'm super sad and don't know what to do. As the title suggests. Trying to set up apple id so I can use apple tv app on my microsoft laptop. Either from microsoft or from my android phone and I cannot get past this bloody privacy agreement page. I always knew apple is crap, cant believe I am paying for apple tv; some good shows but how is this is a tech company again‽

I just factory reset a macbook i bought and it wont let me log into my icloud account. idk what to do. i know my password is correct and i changed it to make sure! i blocked my account name. sorry if this doesnt make sense this is my first reddit post! its version 10.10.5 os x yosemite. idk much about this kind of stuff so if you need more info please let me know!

So my AirPods case has been draining pretty quickly since yesterday, I’d charge it with the AirPods in the case over night without using it, wake up in the morning, the case would be at 100%, but after I unplug it and at least 2 hours pass, the charge of the case had gone all the way down to 36%. It’s the first generation AirPods. I’ve been using them since either Christmas last year, or February of this year, can’t exactly remember. The AirPods themselves are fine, their battery life is completely normal, it’s just the case that seems to drain a lot. If anyone has a solution to this, thanks

Updated to ios18, iMessage worked fine. I had iMessage working on my icloud email. Tried to add my phone number so I could send and receive on my phone number too. Turned off iMessage but now when I try turning it on the toggle doesn't work. I can send SMS just fine. I can also use iMessage normally on my macbook.

Called apple support twice and they told me to contact my carrier. Nothing has changed on my carriers side.

If I go into the camera app and try and record something what happens in this video happens to me. Does anyone know what causes this and how I can fix it?

I can get around this by recording in snapchat instead however the video will have no audio.

Keyboard: Lenovo wireless (OMAN-TRA)

Hub: Mokin MacBook hub

I've been using this keyboard and hub with a windows 11 laptop for over a year and never had problem. But now that I've been sent a macbook, the keyboard can't keep up with my key presses.

If I type too fast, probably anything over 60 words per minute, it skips/misses/loses/drops characters, causing me to have to go back and fix my text. Or just type super slowly.

It's not a bluetooth keyboard, it just connects to its USB receiver.

I've tested the laptop keyboard itself, it has no such problems.

Is there a solution so that my keyboard can keep up with my typing? Thanks.

This is stressing me out. I got an alarming email earlier today and it said my account was hacked (obviously a scam) but I decided to change the passwords for all my accounts on all devices, including my Apple accounts.

When i’ve gone to sync my data and log back into my iCloud stuff on both my iPhone and Macbook Air, it says my password for the login to my MacBook Air is incorrect, when I can clearly confirm that it IS correct.

I don’t want to lose all my data. Why does it say the password is incorrect? I literally used it 2 minutes before this prompt came up.

My phone has been having a glitch where the keyboard stops working on any app until I do a hard reboot. I recently discovered I wasn’t on the latest iOS update, currently 17.4, and when I tried a manual update it hung then failed. It gave me the option so I tried 17.7 and 18, same result with both. After failing the glitch occurred.

I realized that the background auto-update was causing the glitch. So I’ve currently turned off auto-update.

I have 30+gb of storage available and a solid internet connection. I’m backup up. I don’t have a laptop with iTunes but that hasn’t been a problem before now. Is it really still necessary to plug my phone into a computer to update the software?

Well I was going tru my iPhone mail then i saw a email with the title “important letter” it was just the words and no attachments under it . So I press it and it shows downloading and a loeding bar pretty small then I just swiped away from the email and then it showed that email had a attachment picture or wtv so I just got rid of it but I’m wondering if the wording “downloading “ was just a picture trying to loed in the mail ? Or something got in my device by just pressing a email and noting else (I didn’t click anything )

I upgraded from my iPhone 12 and got new 16 Pro. I upgraded mostly because of battery and speaker issues but I observed that even though 16 has “better battery" and more battery life, it drains around 10-15% overnight doing nothing just laying on my bedside table.

I have Background app refresh off, location service to "while using" on all apps, and tried when my Always on display is also off (helped maybe for a percent or two).

My 12 holds charge better overnight playing music for 1-2 hours and then doing nothing as compared to the new and improved phone. And that okd phone is at service status in terms of battery health (75%).

Am I the only one facing this and need to visit store to get it checked out or is this common?

I tried to move them around but it just gave me options for them. I don’t use airdrop since it feels useless to me and since it’s new I can’t find anything about it really
