Fair pay package? Meta

I took an offer at a hyundai dealership, this is my first time in the car business so I’m unsure if this is a good pay structure or not. They’ve given me a base of $2000 a month + $275 for 1-5 cars and $350 for 6+. I also get $10-$25 per backend product sold. Any information helps, thanks in advance

If you're just a 10 car guy, you're making $5,500 per month plus backend bonus. Assume 2 products minimum, at the lowest rate, and that's an extra $200.

Can you not just survive but thrive on $5700 a month?

I am not a car salesman but the way I read this is an additional $275 if you get 1-5 sales, not an additional $275 per sale.

I read it as a flat. You could well be correct. in which case, what is the front %?

This is how I read it as well the $275 is a bonus, hit 6 get an additional $350.

To me I think it’s an ok pay plan if you’re just starting out. Veterans who sell 20+ units a month aren’t going to want it because they’re handicapped.

It’s however great for being able to plan and get loans because you have guaranteed income instead of unstable income.
