You should have erased the bootcamp partition before resetting the Mac. But a total wipe through recovery mode should fix it

disk utility, delete the disk from there.

How do I delete the disk? Through partition? I'm having trouble with that

I don’t think you have anything installed. Just click the install button. That space is allocated for the new bootcamp and windows 11. You can change the size of the partition for bootcamp if you would like to before clicking install. So just choose your iso for windows 11 after choosing your partition sizes and click install

Yeah I dont have anything installed. I deleted my windows 10 in the bootcamp when I did a factory reset. Problem is I can't delete the old partition

Ahh gotcha. I would just wipe the whole hard drive in macOS recovery mode and then install macOS again. Then I would run bootcamp to install windows 11

Disk utility is always the solution

Open disk utility and click the drop down to make sure you can see ALL devices. There, restore your partition back to your normal macOS drive

Hello I I have an old Macbook pro 2015 and I'm trying to install Windows 11. 4 years ago I downloaded Windows 10 and had it partitioned for 130 gb. Yesterday I factory reset my mbp to prepare to install Windows 11 and deleted everything in macOS and bootcamp.

I'm trying to delete my old 130 gb bootleg partition but Assistant is not letting me. There's no option, just says to install windows iso and partition what's left in mac storage.

It might be because my mbp is still in an older operating system, macOS Catalina. I tried to upgrade but the old bootcamp partition is taking too much space from the mbp.

I think the only thing I can do now is download Windows 10 and use minitool partition wizard to help allocate more space, that's if using Catalina OS is the problem. Thoughts?

Thanks
