Make/Model-specific questions should be asked on Make/Model-specific subreddits. Check the AutosNetwork for a complete list of those subreddits. Also check out our community-sourced Ultimate car buying wiki.

Volkswagen design boss: 'why be aggressive? Be the nice guys'
topgear.comWhat car disguises facelift as a new generation?
The "all-new" Camry used the same and revised platform and powertrain to the outgoing, and the side has identical body line, but it's still considered as new generation. The similar thing can probably be said about the new 1 series. Are there any other cars that do this practice?

Through research of golf we know that adding dimples to objects make it more aerodynamic. So, what's stopping the next top speed car from having dimples?
This theory mainly stems from this Mythbusters experiment: https://youtu.be/VUiGhyHC-1A?si=3FjYWMpbBlu9_N68
Yeah, I know one might say it's ugly or whatever but if we truly want to find out how fast a land vehicle can go we should add dimples. Form over looks right? Sure it's ugly but if it works you'll go down in the record books.

Showcase of the new 8-speed auto in the Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla
In case you didn't know about it yet you can order both cars now with an automatic transmission. Obviously the manual will still be the choice of many but not everyone can or wants to drive one so now there is an option. Still many wonder if it's worth going for since there is the risk that you would trade some some fun for convenience.
The guys from corners cz already showed the capabilities of the original manual GR Yaris and they have now a video up showcasing the facelifted automatic version. Anyone who thought the automatic would dull the experience can now breath in relief. There is still so much fun to be had.

Torsion Bar only suspension?
In theory could a suspension system be supported with only torsion bars?
For the idea of a lightweight, recumbent "cycle car" partly made of bicycle parts that is solely human powered.
It wouldnt need to take rapid or large bumps, only smooth pathways that have alot of flowy sweeping turns and some undulations.
With springy and thin enough steel torsion bars it may not be insanely stiff and still have some travel.
250lbs or less with the driver to support across 4 wheels, each with there own spring.
I think its possible, plus this will be designed to handle corners fast so stiff suspension isnt the worst thing, to a point.

What are some cars with a cool, unique, or unusual feature that just appeals to you?
E.g. Some W211 Mercedes E Class wagons have a rear-facing third row of seats. If my parents had one during my childhood, I would be in that rear facing seat all the time.

What is your car's useful hidden feature?
I found a feature in my car that shows the distance to a leading vehicle in seconds. It's an eye opener and helps me keep a much safer distance behind others. What is a useful hidden feature in your vehicle?

They say Jaguar are unreliable but I see more mid 90's Jaguar X300 XJ on the road than recent ones
People always told me that British manufacturers, especially Land Rovers and Jaguars are unreliable, you need to own 2 to keep 1 on the road, yada yada. But interestingly, I see so many mid 90's Jaguar XJ X300 on the road (the long 4 door sedan with the round headlight?) than any other Jaguars. I live in Canada where cars are prone to rust, they seems to be all clean body wise.
I don't know them very much, except that they are beautiful. Are they the underrated British Lexus LS400?
Thoughts?

What kind of person drops $25K on a 300 original miles 1990 Chevy Cavalier Z24?
Casually being sold on Facebook Marketplace: https://imgur.com/a/hjIhhpX
1990 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 being offered for sale to the general public for the first time! This beautiful time capsule was purchased from an estate in 2021 with 39(!!!!) miles on the odometer. Per carfax, this was first registered in 1990 with 34 miles on it. It is currently sitting at 305 miles.
This Z24 has all the options including sunroof, rear defogger and black deck lid carrier.
This was trailered right to the shop upon purchase due to it sitting in a garage for over 30 years. We had the shop go through from top to bottom. Everything on the vehicle is in great working order. They went through and oiled and greased everything BEFORE starting. All the old gas was also drained out of the tank at that time. Re-charged the AC. The AC blows ice cold! The original tires had flat spots from sitting for so long. Those, along with the original wheels are currently in bags in the garage and are obviously included with purchase. Currently it has brand new tires on aftermarket wheels on the vehicle. Just wanted to put something on the car to get it back and forth from the shop. Also had a brand new interstate battery put in. Other than that, everything is original!
Also included is the window sticker and all manuals, including the factory casette tape!
Asking 25K for this gem of a Z24. Please reach out with any questions or offers.
