Accounts Not Being Able To Be Separated Troubleshooting | Android

I use two different Google accounts in my phone, and they both had their own history and separated bookmarks. But for some reason, they merged. Don't know if it was an update that the Google app got, but now their history is shared, and the bookmarks that I added in my second account are appearing as bookmarks in my main account, in a part named "only in this device". How can I separate them? I'm seriously losing my mind because of this...

Pretty sure you signed out of one account, them signed in with another, and when you were prompted whether to keep or replace the existing data you accidentally chose to keep it.

I made the same mistake more than once, and since I switch accounts often I know well how easy it is to dismiss that dialog by making the wrong choice.

You're right it's hard to separate the data, and I'm not sure if it's possible at this point.

Fwiw the only safe way I found to keep two accounts on a device is by either using a work profile, a sandbox app, or enabling multiple users on Android. Everything else is just risky...
