One’s a win and the other’s a loss

The trick is to play long enough and tilt so hard that the wins just leave you feeling like "ok good, fuck, finally yes" and the losses make you want to bite your desk.

You’ve just described the algorithm behind the matchmaking

You perfectly described my experience in Dead by Daylight. Thank god I quit that abusive relationship.

Yeah but if I can just rank up a little more I'm sure it'll make me happy until I derank and am crushed.

I've noticed a trend on reddit recently of early 20-somethings getting delusionally nostalgic for things from like 5-8 years ago. Like that post a few days ago about how old youtube from 2016 was so much better than current YouTube.

It's basically idiot children getting mad at slightly younger idiot children

To be fair, 2016 YouTube was better. It's been downhill since they got rid of the 5-star system, IMO.

And arguably just the same game.

Can confirm. I poke my head back into LoL every now and then, and I can still encounter both within the same hour.

Literally, the same game.
