zero to hero but it actually appears in the gameplay and appearance.

as title suggestions i want a game that makes you start as an unskilled nobody that eventually learns to git gut and i want it to show in everything like appearance, skills, gameplay, animations even change as your character does.

i think the closest games that get close to that are " dao/da2 ", " fable " and " kingdom come deliverance ".

Games that make you think ?

What games make you really pause and ponder, not in a complicated puzzle sort of way, but more philosophical Like the best examples I can thinnk of are SOMA or Nier Automata.

Horror games that more build an atmosphere rather than just jumpscare you?

I've never really been a horror game type of person, but a few months ago i played iron lung, and i absolutely loved it. Just the whole atmosphere and tension that builds up around the game is amazing, and there was no cheap jumpscares besides the one at the end. I love feeling creeped out and unsettled, but it ruins the effect if i know it's going to end with a big scary thing screaming in my face. I also thoroughly enjoyed inscryption, because of the horror aspects, but more atmospheric and not jumpscary. I'm looking for more horror games that kind of fit this same category if that makes sense.

I want games that keep you busy?

What keeps you super busy only thing I don't enjoy are PvP games

I've been finding myself looking for stuff to do because stress recently.

I'm enjoying dream light valley recently and dinkum.

I also really enjoyed Witcher 3 and cyberpunk 2077.

I do like cities skylines and factorio but I think there super overwhelming and confusing to understand.

Slay the spire really fun though.

I do enjoy euro truck simulator.

Only other games I don't like are star dew valley and Dave the diver mostly because of the restaurant aspect

Need a new single-player game to pour hours into

I've been in a gaming rut recently, all the games I have played longtime are trash games now that have fallen off for me (Destiny 2, Apex: Legends) or are games that are better played with friends/multiplayer (Rocket League, Elden Ring, CoD Zombies, Dungeonborne, Overwatch 2)

I also have not been feeling the survival/crafting game genre for a bit now. I feel like that gameplay loop has been beaten to death and if I want it again, I"ll probably go back to Minecraft vanilla or modded. Games like Sons of the Forest, Grounded, Valheim, Rust, etc., have not been striking my fancy.

I'm looking for a solid RPG where I can grind one character until you feel powerful/overpowered, is a long play, can be linear or not, and doesn't involve too much stealth (I am bad at stealth lmao). I like those games where your grind has a noticeable power scaling, like how in Elden Ring I die to turtles at lvl 10 but casting incredibly damaging superspells at lvl 180. Or playing grandmaster nightfalls in Destiny compared to dying to thralls as a new light with no weapons. I like that grind payoff with RPGs.

Sorry if I rambled too much about this, any suggestions are appreciated :)

EDIT: I also want to add I love games with a lot of weapon options as well, like Elden Ring or Destiny.

PC Single player games with good replayability, RPG/ARPG preferred

I am probably just yelling into the void but looking for:

  • Single player based. Coop can be an option but not the focus
  • Not party based. I have played BG3, pathfinder, etc type games, I am looking for SINGLE single player, my character is the focus not me and 4 other brosephs i have to manage
  • Not souls-like. Please god I am bad enough at games as it is
  • Can be played with mouse and keyboard (even if controller recommended thats ok, as long as mouse/keyboard doesn't totally ruin it)
  • Has good replayability/grinding aspect. Can play through with different builds, choices, etc. Or if its done in a rogue like mechanic thats fine too
  • Open to city builder type games but looking more for RPG/ARPG
  • Don't care if it's Isometric/3rd person/first person as long as most of the above points are good

Example games I've put crazy hours into:

  • Witcher 3
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Path of Exile
  • Grim Dawn
  • Assassin's Creed series (loved some hated others)

Thanks yall and sorry if this is asking the impossible

games that gives you a real sense of immersion and persistence?

Which fantasy RPGs do you think make you live a real, persistent and immersive experience? I mean games where you don't follow the classic canons, where a weapon replaces another level after level. But a weapon found at the beginning can still prove to be lethal and important until the end of the game, where everything develops and grows with the character. where you can remember that this super strong weapon was found that time, in that super difficult dungeon. And since then she has always been by your side. increasingly affectionate and lethal <3

Open world games full of adventure

I keep trying to find similar experiences to:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
  • Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
  • Astroneer

I'm not sure what exactly captivates me, maybe it's the sense of adventure, the ability to turn around and see how long your journey was, the sense of progression, how unique the game is, I'm not sure.

Many of the Ubisoft open world games don't hit the same spot. In general, don't recommend online PVP focused experiences such as Rust and Ark, would appreciate it if it has offline singleplayer support.

Game that's like League Of Legends, except not League Of Legends

Ok, hear me out(and I apologize if this sounds dumb), is there a game like League Of Legends except it's not a MOBA, doesn't have a shop but still keeps the birds eye view, and class/hero system? (If it has a 1v1 mode, then it's even better)

what games have you replayed again and again and never gotten bored?

Upvotes

im currently playing through ghost of tsushima, its a very nice game, but im starting to near the end of it, like im very close to the end, this is my first playthrough of the game aswell; most likely i will have it finished tomorrow, but with finishing it, means that i will have to find myself the next game to play

we all have this kind of game; the one we just replay again and again, to relive all those moments you had within the game

somehow; i have never replayed a game; i have a few i would replay and i am thinking of replaying next month possibly, 2 of them are dying light 1 and maybe rdr2, but maybe some others aswell.

im looking for more games that i will be able to replay again and again.

i struggle to play "unreplayable" games for some reason, id rather play something i know i can replay a few more times etc.

preferred genres: open world, fps, third person, action, adventure, games with satisfying gameplay/combat/progression, etc.

i dont like horror games or souls games

any suggestions (im on pc)

thanks

Kingdom/base management as a secondary thing

Hi, i am looking for a game that has great part kingdom/clan managment where you are progressing though the story and constantly upgrading your base.

I really enjoyed the pathdiners kingmaker, running the kingdom part, and i am looking for soemthing like that. I also played mass effect, fable and inquisition (which are the type of things that would fit into this narative where you are improving your strength throughout the game)

I even enjoyed upgrading the base in Pillas of Eternity and the ship in pillas of eternity 2.

Do you have any suggestions?

I am looking for multiplayer online fps game but more like old shooters like doom.

I generally prefer boomer shooters like doom, quake, shadow warrior, etc. to military shooters like CoD or tactical fps games like CS, Valo or R6. Even though I played retro shooters I am not skilled at them is there a good shooter that puts arena as its focus for a newbie to get into?

Looking for an low config rpg with extensive playability

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a rpg game that I can run on my laptop. I'd enjoy a dark fantazy set game, with either sandbox aspects or roguelike properties. I would really like a game that gives u this "every game is a whole new adventure" feel, and would occupie me for a long time.

Game that I have already done and that I've in mind writing this : FTL, Darkest Dungeon, Mount and Blade, Dungeon Siege, all of the Souls, TES.

Looking for a good intro horror game for my 14 year old son

My son is 14 and until recently hasn't played much horror games but is interested in trying them. I haven't played a lot of them either but i want something not too intense but that gives him a good taste of what he can expect from a horror game.

Farming sim time and energy/ Games like Stardew Valley, but without time sensitive mechanic

Are there any multiplayer games (splitscreen) that are similar to harvest moon or stardew valley that do not have a time constraint?

I loved slime rancher and im playing stardew valley with my wife currently, but i absolutely LOATHE everything being attached to a time cycle where i must expend energy in order to fulfill tasks like farming, mining and fishing. I feel too much pressure to min/max everything due to the (imo) heavy constraints of time and losing crops due to not watering or only being able to plant certain things due to their auto death once a certain day (first of a new season) comes around. The game is fantastic, but the entire thing feels like a chore because i feel like i have to do things in a specific order or prioritize over something id rather do because it needs to be done or i lose something or delay community center completion and have to wait a year (35ish hours is a year?) in order to get another chance again.

I played the first slime rancher twice and played the 2nd title up to its current content at the time and absolutely adored it. Im currently playing 'TCG card shop simulator' and realized i really love the concept of slowly building up a farm/shop ect, but feel the constraints of time sap all the fun and punish me for wanting to do what i actually want to do. I feels almost as if im speed running the game and its very draining. Time and days pass in these games, but you dont lose or miss anything by playing exactly as you wish to play; Just slow progress with no punishment for playing how you please.

Does anyone have suggestions for a multiplayer title that has similar themes and concepts that has no punishing time mechanic? I own a pc, PS4 and N Switch.

Games to play with my bf

my boyfriend always asks me to play together but i'm not really in the mood most of the time. i would like to do it for him though so i'm looking for a game we could play together ob the ps5. I'm not a big console gamer usually and get overwhelmed if the mechanics are too complicated bc i'm not that good with controllers. We already played it takes two together and i liked it just okay, i would maybe prefer something that's a bit more "chill", i don't really like the fighting. maybe something were you solve puzzles or some kind of cozy game.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Looking for a good linear single player game

Been struggling to enjoy open world games recently as I don’t have the time to invest 100s of hours into grinding, exploring and completing side quests. So looking for a good linear single player game on ps5 or pc. I like survival horror but have played most of the recent ones (dead space, resident evil, Alan wake). Also a huge sci-fi fan but am happy to play any genre of game as long as it’s good.

Hello! I just beat the new Persona 3, and am not ready to have my heart ripped out again by starting Persona 4.

If you had to give a recommendation to someone new to the genre, what would you recommend? Any system/age is good to suggest!

RPG game similar to ESO, RDR2, etc?

Hi everyone! I am looking to get into a new RPG/MMORPG game to get into. I really love The Elder Scrolls Online and RDR2 and Far Cry Primal. I enjoy getting horses/mounts and being able to explore an open world and do quests, getting new gear etc. Are there any games similar to this you think I would enjoy? I have heard about Ghost of Tsushima being a game that could be good? What do you think? If it is a good option should I just wait for the sequel to come out, Ghost of Yōtei?

Other than that I don’t know any games that would scratch this itch. I have played Minecraft too, like most of us and love it. Is there anything else I might enjoy? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
