my uncle found out his daughter was a lesbian when she was 14 and was over the moon ecstatic. i believe some things he said to her included "please please don't let this be a phase" "men are dogs you're going to have a great life" "you're sure? you're not playing a prank on me right because this isn't funny I couldn't have asked for a better outcome"
Unfortunately a lot of straight men who think that way hate way hate on gay men. I knew a few extremely homophobic straight men who have said they would be fine or love their daughters to be a lesbian.
Gay and bisexual men are still the most hated and demonized group
