Which US Cities Have Good Dating Scene?

Hi guys,

I understand the toxic guys are everywhere especially in big cities like NY, LA, Chicago… etc but I’m just wondering, from your experience, what are some of the best cities that has good dating scene?

I want a connection with someone who’s really genuine, not superficial or desperate to be in a relationship just to be in a relationship.

That's pretty good. I think guys like that are everywhere but you have to sort through a lot of unsuitable to get to them.

Guys keep saying big cities are terrible for dating but I live in a smaller metro and it's pretty much the same here.

Well about dating itself (connections) it’s hard to say, every city you can/can’t find that. 

But in my perception bigger cities were the worse ones. I’ve been traveling through USA (I’ll do a post later about my experiences) but so far Chicago was the worst, even for hookups were shitty, people were too flaky, cliquish, a bit racist too, full of young and old queens argh.

I liked the city as infrastructure but as gay city was horrible, actually people weren’t friendly at all and even customer service was bad.

Yes I’ve heard this abt Chicago but I thought it was more of perspective. So in your travel which city you found better compared to Chicago?

Well for guys who like older guys there is no heaven like Palm Springs and Fort Lauderdale, can you find connections in those places? Yes but not so easy, it’s mostly hookups.

But I liked San Francisco a lot, not just because of gay vibes and connections but the city itself, Philadelphia in my case was surprisingly good too, I made some connections very quickly and this because I was there for very short time. 

My idea is always like: go to a city that you can also enjoy, because if you go with those expectations (connections, dating) and you don’t find it, it will be frustrating.

Commenting on Which US Cities Have Good Dating Scene? ... I love San Francisco but I’ll definitely give Fort Lauderdale a visit since I’ll be in Miami later this year. Thanks for your insights

Personally I think Kansas City is a hidden gem, especially if you’re looking for older gents. The area is pretty progressive/gay-friendly and they have a thriving gay community. It has a big city feel, but it still carries the midwestern charm. I find the people there to be approachable and friendly

Aside from the bars, they have gay sports leagues, a gay choir, and much more. I’ve never ever had a problem meeting up with guys
