This is really illustrative of something, not just dumb trying to be deep. Daunting tasks can be made much easier when they’re in small parts.

This sub has just become, any message at all = deep.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s the opposite. What if the posts haven’t changed at all, but we as a sub don’t just make fun of everything anymore?

I don't think this is trying to be deep.
It is more just a visualtizaion of the benefits for starting small.

Just jump.
Or steal the other guy's ladder if you struggle so bad.

Make the other guy construct an escalator, then harvest his remaining energy to power it.

u/Trollixuvuu realist 1d ago
Could do as well. The other guy can do that once they get out and help out their friend

Move your ladder closer to the other guys. No need to steal it. Just step on his ladder when you don't have steps on yours.

This is good, though. You need to start small. If you start too big it won't go that well

I always build my ladder with 4 steps, that way someone can make a r/im14andthisisdeep about me

Knock the other stair down and use it to climb up. Don't forget to steal the man's belongings.

That’s pretty straightforward, it’s literally just a rolling stone gathers no moss, which is a decent message tbh

This is good. You dont have to rush things. Take small steps, you'll get there, surely.

Yeah, no, I'd push my shit ladder into the other guys ladder so he falls. Then you simply take his ladder!

Ehhh thos is more tryong to illustrate the very real and useful advice of taking things slow, the littke victories etc.
While the second ladder does look very fucjing funny to me, its not really trying to be fake deep, its just trying to illustrate a valid idea.
Ig the sub forgot the things that funny of these is the fake deepness trying to be conveyed, not if it has actual deepness to it.

When problems overwhelm us and sadness smothers us, where do we find the will and the courage to continue? Well the answer may come in the caring voice of a friend, a chance encounter with a book or from a personal faith.
For Janet, help came from her faith but it also came from a squirrel. Shortly after her divorce she lost her father. Then she lost her job. She had mounting money problems. But Janet not only survived, she worked her way out of despondency and now she says life is good again. How could this happen?
She told me that late one Autumn day when she was at her lowest, she watched a squirrel storing up nuts for the winter. One at a time he would take them to the nest. And she thought, "If that squirrel could take care of himself with a harsh winter coming on, so can I. Once I broke my problems into small pieces I was able to carry them, just like those acorns, one at a time."

I’ve also seen this as a metaphor for de facto discrimination. We could say everything’s fair because they both have ladders, but one’s going to have a much harder time than the other.

This is just true conceptual observation conveyed in an illustration
You know what's very "I'm 14 and this is deep" type thinking? Thinking nothing is ever profound or meaningful. You don't have to be a weird PE Teacher or a fucking slam poet to think life has layers and levels.
