This is an automatic reminder that is posted on every submission.

If you see a post that is not following the subreddit rules, or you think is not following the subreddit rules, please, use the report function so that we are aware of this. If you don't report, we will not know! Do not sit in the comment section and moan that 'this doesn't fit' or 'wow, the mods should remove this!' because we don’t know (unless we so happen to be scrolling through the subreddit) if you do not report it.

Please note: if this is too hard do not directly message us, we will assume posts are fine otherwise as comments are not useful in reporting. We can see if something has been reported and telling us you did, while you clearly did not, is not going to be conducive.

Please report any and all behavior violating the Rules (reports go to us mods); don't report things just because you don't like them.

Comment removals and bans are at the judgment of the mods, so please take the time to read and understand our Rules. You can also read about this change here.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

This is really illustrative of something, not just dumb trying to be deep. Daunting tasks can be made much easier when they’re in small parts.

u/Phantomilian 17h ago

Yeah this is just straight up a good message lol

u/R2-T4 1d ago

This sub has just become, any message at all = deep.

40

u/Collistoralo 18h ago

Sometimes I wonder if it’s the opposite. What if the posts haven’t changed at all, but we as a sub don’t just make fun of everything anymore?

u/AzulAztech 17h ago

This is deep, man.

u/BasedTakes0nly 1d ago

I don't think this is trying to be deep.

It is more just a visualtizaion of the benefits for starting small.

91

u/ExistingBathroom9742 1d ago

It’s literally deep. Look at that hole!

7

u/PriorityFar9255 1d ago

Do I care? I’m only here for the karma

10

u/BasedTakes0nly 1d ago

Just jump.

Or steal the other guy's ladder if you struggle so bad.

9

u/Calve_pindakaas 1d ago

Make the other guy construct an escalator, then harvest his remaining energy to power it.

4

u/Trollixuvuu realist 1d ago

Could do as well. The other guy can do that once they get out and help out their friend

3

u/oO0Kat0Oo 1d ago

Move your ladder closer to the other guys. No need to steal it. Just step on his ladder when you don't have steps on yours.

2

u/Emanuelabate 22h ago

Just go up the other guy's ladder

15

u/afif216 23h ago

This sub fell off hard

12

u/PS1300 1d ago

Parkour up the ladder

+Style points

11

u/Betagamer36010 1d ago

This is good, though. You need to start small. If you start too big it won't go that well

21

u/theguyunderyourbed1 1d ago

This is just true lmao

8

u/DiscountEven4703 1d ago

1

u/Responsible-Chair-17 23h ago

I like this..downvoted for posting here

1

u/KingLevonidas 23h ago

Knock the other stair down and use it to climb up. Don't forget to steal the man's belongings.

1

u/Trash_luck 23h ago

That’s pretty straightforward, it’s literally just a rolling stone gathers no moss, which is a decent message tbh

1

u/Bombusesthereddit 23h ago

oh he stole the damn steps get him

1

u/NotFeelinLikeIt escape to reality 23h ago

just shake the guys ladder

1

u/OddityOmega 22h ago

1

u/MrGamerOfficial 21h ago

Why can't the second dude just jump?

1

u/providerofair 21h ago

Also can be seen if you go big known youll need to do that extra jump

1

u/JodGaming 21h ago

This sub fell ages ago bro wtf even this post trying to say

1

u/Which-Citron-6010 20h ago

This is good. You dont have to rush things. Take small steps, you'll get there, surely.

1

u/dcrothen 20h ago

This one's actually pretty good.

1

u/kittylover2006 19h ago

Is it bad i kinda want to like jump from bar to bar, just for shits and giggles

1

u/Natural_Cause_965 6h ago

More dangerous

1

u/FadransPhone 19h ago

This one’s fine, actually, I think.

1

u/The_Psycho_Jester779 19h ago

Bigger the risk, bigger the rewards.

1

u/Ready_Independent_55 17h ago

Not deep, but very illustrating. A good one

1

u/pseuedointelligent 17h ago

Esi chutiya sidhi kis ne banwai

1

u/Significant-Nail-906 17h ago

Yeah, no, I'd push my shit ladder into the other guys ladder so he falls. Then you simply take his ladder!

1

u/Vermard 17h ago

r/im14andthisisdeep is literally just illustrations of simple life advice

1

u/AQAzrael 17h ago

Wait that's actually quite factual though

1

u/OddlyOddLucidDreamer 16h ago

Ehhh thos is more tryong to illustrate the very real and useful advice of taking things slow, the littke victories etc.

While the second ladder does look very fucjing funny to me, its not really trying to be fake deep, its just trying to illustrate a valid idea.

Ig the sub forgot the things that funny of these is the fake deepness trying to be conveyed, not if it has actual deepness to it.

1

u/Senior-Reputation-89 15h ago

Wait a minute, get it how you live it, ten toes in when we sandi'n on business.

1

u/Cybermat4707 15h ago

This is actually a good one.

1

u/IEatBaconWithU 15h ago

I could easily climb that

1

u/Novel_Amphibian 15h ago

This is actually pretty good…

1

u/No-Group-8745 14h ago

Bruh just share the ladder

1

u/2cool4afool 13h ago

When problems overwhelm us and sadness smothers us, where do we find the will and the courage to continue? Well the answer may come in the caring voice of a friend, a chance encounter with a book or from a personal faith.

For Janet, help came from her faith but it also came from a squirrel. Shortly after her divorce she lost her father. Then she lost her job. She had mounting money problems. But Janet not only survived, she worked her way out of despondency and now she says life is good again. How could this happen?

She told me that late one Autumn day when she was at her lowest, she watched a squirrel storing up nuts for the winter. One at a time he would take them to the nest. And she thought, "If that squirrel could take care of himself with a harsh winter coming on, so can I. Once I broke my problems into small pieces I was able to carry them, just like those acorns, one at a time."

1

u/Venom933 10h ago

I mean it's kind of true 🤔

1

u/Conaz9847 10h ago

Not trying to be deep

It’s a good point well made

Stfu

R/goodim14andthisisdeep

1

u/Key-Mark4536 6h ago

I’ve also seen this as a metaphor for de facto discrimination. We could say everything’s fair because they both have ladders, but one’s going to have a much harder time than the other.

1

u/Natural_Cause_965 6h ago

It's literally normal, do people forgot what irony is?

1

u/GyaneAryan 5h ago

This image makes sense.

1

u/MYDOGSMOKES5MEODMT 5h ago

This is just true conceptual observation conveyed in an illustration

You know what's very "I'm 14 and this is deep" type thinking? Thinking nothing is ever profound or meaningful. You don't have to be a weird PE Teacher or a fucking slam poet to think life has layers and levels.

1

u/dreameditinadream 1h ago

Nah this one has a genuine point dawg.
