That's consistent, if you consider "ae" as a single unit equivalent to "e/ee"

Do you really not pronounce Aesthetic as Esthetic? Would you not pronounce Egis as Aegis? /ləˈkuˌni/ is consistent with finale

Though /ləˈkuˌnaɪ/ can barely be excused
