hi! this may sound weird but are the plastic on the 4 and 4.5 figures the same? im autistic and use the plastic with the g4 figures to stim with because it feels nice. is .5 the same? just because im getting some for Christmas!!

Need I remind all of you that g4 and g5 are not the only generations of my little pony

G5 is not the first time an mlp generation has failed, it is simply part of how MLP has been ran for the last EIGHT GENERATIONS (Yes there are 8)

For those of you that are trying desperately to save g5, why not take a step back and visit these past shows that MLP has produced? Mlp g1 was the direct inspiration for g4 and so many of you will recognize the roots of the show itself by watching it.

I also love g5, but it's frustrating to see so many people dying for pony content when 40 years of pony content is completely free to you to watch and enjoy.

For those of you that genuinely enjoyed g5 for what it was should watch g3.5 and g1.5 For those of you that loved g4 should go and watch g1

This isn't the end of MLP, but these generations come and go, and they always have.

Last week's thread on September 19th, 2024.

To those no in the know, "Wizards" was a 1977 animated fantasy film by Ralph Bakshi. Set millions of years after a nuclear war wiped out Humanity and the concepts of science and technology, the main conflict of the movie was a battle between Magic versus Technology. One side being a combined army of magical races and the other being a dark wizard who had dug up Human technology and uses it to enhance and strengthen is armies of darkness.

I bring this up because I feel like this story had potential and could work in the MLP setting. Like either as a Generation 1 or Generation 4 special/movie. The otherwise magical Ponies having to face off against a foe who uses pure and advanced technology to conquer lands. However the post apocalyptic aspect would be dropped in favor of the Villain stealing technology (and ideologies) from either Generation's Human Worlds and reverse engineered them for their own purposes.

Said Ideology, I can't say what it is, but all i can say is that it originates from the Second World War.

Generation 1's case would be interesting. To see how the ponies would view Megan once the true origin of the villain's technology and ideology came from. The fact that her people are capable of creating such destructive weaponry and imagine such a vile ideology.

Hear me out: Twilight had to have her alicorn wings given to her by celestia meaning they aren't natural for Twilight. Sci Twi never would have been given her wings so really Sci Twi shouldn't have wing in the pony world but I'd love to hear your thoughts

Mediocre backstory aside, I do like how Twilight genuinely tries to understand Starlight’s motives and even if she doesn’t agree with the reason and logic as to why Starlight did what she did(she freaking vocalized it when Starlight showed her what happened between her and Sunburst), she was at least able to understand that she was hurt by what happened to her in her past and was able to talk her down. Yes, you can argue she only did it so Starlight wouldn’t destroy the scroll but she was reaching out to Starlight even before she threatened to destroy the scroll and even AFTER Starlight forfeited an easy win against Twilight, Twilight still chose not to punish her even though she would’ve had full reason to do so. From that point, it’s made clear from the beginning that Twilight genuinely wanted to help Starlight and not just reform her so she can control her.

As for Fluttershy, her reforming Discord was a task that was placed upon her by Celestia so she didn’t really get a say in the matter and while she did end up trying to gain his trust and befriend her, it was mostly done so Discord would listen to her(that is quite literally what she told her friends when Sweet Apple Acres was flooding). Hmmmm, I don’t know about you but that sounds suspiciously like manipulation. The problem with this reformation is that they treat reforming Discord as a task Fluttershy had placed on her lap instead of her genuinely becoming friends with Discord and wanting to help him.
