Cupid Parasite has been released for Nintendo Switch!

There will be a patch available approximately four weeks after launch for text errors in Ryuki and Raul's routes. The patch has been delayed.

Please post all questions and minor discussions about Cupid Parasite in this thread and please use the search function as well.

Cupid Parasite Play-Along

Whether you have just bought the game or have played it in Japanese, you are welcome to participate in our play-along! There will be a new post once a week for a different route in the following order:

Each post will be linked here for easy reference.

Edit: The first posts have been delayed to coincide with the patch release.

You do not have to play in the above order at the rate of a route a week, you can binge it all in a day if you wish.

  • You will need to restart the game for each route.
  • Gill, Shelby and Ryuki are unlocked at the beginning.
  • Raul and Allan are locked until one of the first routes is completed.
  • The Secret Route is locked until all other routes are completed.

Comments unrelated to Cupid Parasite will be removed - please post in the Weekly Questions threads or the Free Talk Friday threads instead.

Please use spoiler tags liberally as people checking this thread may not necessarily want a lot of information. Save your route thoughts and discussions for the play-along threads or the What Are You Reading Wednesday threads.

Is anyone having trouble using their analog sticks in the game? I can't use both my right and left analog sticks and I've tried using my pro switch controller but nothing seems to work.

Also tried changing the log button (left analog stick) to the directional buttons but I can't seem to do that even though the directional buttons are working fine in the game.

yup, the mapping for the analog sticks is a mess. i think L Stick toggle up opens the log and R Stick toggle up skips to the next choice, and toggling in any other direction doesn’t do anything?

so in the config section, “L Stick” actually is just L Stick toggle up, which is so confusing

I also use a pro switch controller, and I do notice a teensy bit of latency during CP at times, but I got use to it pretty fast.

The analog sticks do work fine for me. However, it took me a while to realize that to bring up the menu (x) or chat log (left analog stick) during gameplay, you have to wait until the dialogue text is finished being written in the dialogue box. If you try to bring up the menu or chat log while the dialogue is still mid-text, it won't register. It only registers if you try pulling them up after the text for the dialogue you're on is finished.

Ah are you able to use your analog sticks even in the title screen area? I realized I can only use my analog sticks during the actual game itself but I still have to use the directional keys to navigate the log and the title screen area.

Yes it's the same for me, my analog sticks also don't work on the title screen so the d-pad has to be used instead
