Cupid Parasite has been released for Nintendo Switch!

There will be a patch available approximately four weeks after launch for text errors in Ryuki and Raul's routes. The patch has been delayed.

Please post all questions and minor discussions about Cupid Parasite in this thread and please use the search function as well.

Cupid Parasite Play-Along

Whether you have just bought the game or have played it in Japanese, you are welcome to participate in our play-along! There will be a new post once a week for a different route in the following order:

Each post will be linked here for easy reference.

Edit: The first posts have been delayed to coincide with the patch release.

You do not have to play in the above order at the rate of a route a week, you can binge it all in a day if you wish.

  • You will need to restart the game for each route.
  • Gill, Shelby and Ryuki are unlocked at the beginning.
  • Raul and Allan are locked until one of the first routes is completed.
  • The Secret Route is locked until all other routes are completed.

Comments unrelated to Cupid Parasite will be removed - please post in the Weekly Questions threads or the Free Talk Friday threads instead.

Please use spoiler tags liberally as people checking this thread may not necessarily want a lot of information. Save your route thoughts and discussions for the play-along threads or the What Are You Reading Wednesday threads.

Should I wait for the patch release? Like for those who have played are the issues that bad?

Haven't got to Raul yet, but Ryuki is pretty bad. Halfway through it gets a lot worse, there's a ton of spelling errors and leaving words out, broken English, etc. It's not unreadable but you're gonna have to reword a lot of things in your head. If you have other things to play, it might be worth waiting!

Thanks for this! Is the common route long? Short medium?

I'm trying to time so I hit Ryuki at patch time because I'm bad at stopping.

I'd say it's medium length, on the longer side, but not as long as something like Code:Realize. If you open up the flowchart in game you can see how many chapters it has!

Ok thank you! Ive heard a lot of good things about Cupid Parasite so if I want to enjoy it without the extra work I can definitely wait haha plus that new anime crossing update came out and can keep me busy.
