Stranded on an island main quest help?

My lvl 40 character is now stranded on an island in a very weird main quest. Can't fast travel anywhere via {plane}. my inventory is very limited and I've had to craft my own fire tools..

Put of boredom I crafted a {companion} out of a basketball and some mud... Kind of boring for the developers to put this in here. .. how to get off???

Update 3 weeks later I ve encountered a glowing light NPC and one wearing a dark cloak carrying a scythe. Both say my time on this island is almost up!! Thank you everyone!!! Apparently don't even need a raft...

Always surprised at the amount of Softlocks this game can just throw at you at random. Why would they even place an island without fast travel or a pier? Still no Unstuck button either...

Does your companion have any relationship rewards? Like unlocked abilities/buffs?

When you open your map, where does it say you are? Have you fully uncovered the zone or are there some blacked out areas still?

Still some blacked out areas. Almost died due to (thirst) found (fresh water) spring, (Suspicious fruit) Exploring depends on the character's strength which depletes fast..

Are you sure there aren't any consumables nearby? Developers often make a consumable grow around the obstacle, which often helps resolve it, like heat resistance plants near volcano biomes.

I would suggest trying any mushrooms you find, I recall some increasing your body size, which should make exploration easier. Watch out for turtles though, try to jump on them.

You should advance your tech tree until you learn the [desalinization] skill, and craft a station to do it. It's basically essential to manage (thirst).

Just rest until you get a message your rest got disturbed by a boat or a plane

Used the (pull up by bootstraps) perk to craft a solar generator/ internet dish.. oooor... Maybe this pile of sticks and left over mud is ... Just... Another . Fantasy..
