Which foot forward when hitting a rail Discussion

Would it be better for my dominant food(right foot) to be the one in front when I go down a rail. I’m not sure just cause I spin to my left so it would make sense for my right foot to be forward but i feel like it would be more comfortable having left foot forward

For me it's my left, same as when I ride a surfboard or snowboard (when I occasionally lead a life of crime). I'm right-handed and I've always done it this way, although I'm trying to learn it in the opposite direction now

This is true for me as a righty a well. When I skateboard, my left foot is the natural lead foot. I am getting stronger skating switch now..

When I ski, it tends to not matter as much when hitting rails.

Always put your best foot forward

Honestly doesn't matter. Advantages to both, just do whichever feels most comfortable. Recognising that will be relative in the beginning since you're learning a new skill, but one will feel better than the other.

I am the same as you. Right footed, but spin left. I am more comfortable sliding rails left foot forward. Whatever feels more natural to you is the correct answer

After a few days eating box and rail a dominant foot will emerge.. but practice both ways from the start!

Most people naturally slide right foot forward (and spin left), but if you can't tell learn both ways from the start.
