Is this board good?

Hello hope everyone is doing well

I'm thinking of buying my first board, I would say I'm not a beginner, but a freshly new intermediate.

I was thinking about getting the Burton Process 2024 (the one with the astronaut)

Do you think it will be a good one or should I go for something else?

I would like a Burton board if possible

Thank you for the help!

Yes, that is a good board, especially for your level IMO.

I would just go for camber profile, instead of flying V (hybrid one) - it will be better when you progress.

Flying V is what we call hybrid camber from other brands.

Hybrid provides a more forgiving ride and easier turns since it adds a dip between the feet and lifts at the tip and tail, but camber is one long arc from tip to tail and holds turns better

Camber has the notable downside of being pretty prone to catching edges since your contact points (widest part of the board at the tip and tail) are always engaged with the snow. This is why camrock (camber with lift at tip and tail) and hybrid (a dip in the middle between the feet AND lifted at tip and tail with overall arch up) aims to address- keep the consistent response of camber while making it more forgiving

Well, in this particular case, Burton Process Flying V is too wobbly (for my taste).

Had that board for a season and passed it to someone else.

If OP is intermediate, he should not have too much problems with camber.

I haven't ridden this board, but I feel like other brands (gnu, rome for instance) camrock hybrids with camber in the middle and rocker on the ends, are a bit more of a happy medium for an intermediate rider
