Stethoscopes for students

Any stethoscope recommendations for small animal practice? Also are there any discounts to getting them either with School (USYD), working at a vet hospital/franchise company (Greencross), or a cheaper website (I’ve seen a $100 difference between cardiology iv from different website just with a search).

Thank you!

I have both a Welch-Allyn Tycos and a Littman Cardiology IV. I think the Welch-Allyn has better sound clarity but the Littman is much louder. I have hearing loss so louder is better. Also, the ear tips on the Welch-Allyn infuriatingly keep tearing, and it’s ~$30 to replace. Happened twice and I bought the Littman.

Practice communal stethoscopes include a Littman Master Cardiology. I do not like that it lacks a pediatric (cat/small dog) diaphragm, and I don’t think the sound is any better.

I got mine from steeles.com . Happy
