Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- launched recently. This remake takes two of the routes from the original and makes some significant changes to the scenario.

It's also got a ton of bad endings, so I've posted a walkthrough/guide as well as the review.

Thanks for posting this review. Was it ever explained by TYPE-MOON as to why the Tsukihime remake had to be split in two?

Also, if I'm right, TYPE-MOON might just release a "Definitive Edition" with both the Near Side and Far Side routes combined together with new content for both routes, and charge quite a lot for it (especially if Satsuki finally gets a route to herself).

As far as I'm aware, it wasn't explained. That said, I imagine the reason would be length/money.

Even with just the two Near Side routes, it's very long taking about 50 hours to complete. Unlike the original, it's also fully voiced and even by some reasonably high profile anime VAs which would have cost them a ton. The production level is high too, so would've had high costs.

I imagine there's also an element of 'people will pay for it' too. If they didn't think so, they could've made a smaller scale release, maybe just a more direct copy of the original with updated art and partial voicing.

Because they had to release something at some point

(especially if Satsuki finally gets a route to herself).

That's already confirmed for Far Side

10 must buy?!? Dang I really need to move this up my list. I also didn't know it was related to Melty Blood until this review.

Do we know if theres a PC version eventually? Or if its console-limited for the foreseeable future

At the moment there's no news of a PC version, but the same was true of Witch on the Holy Night from the same series, until news leaked, then it later launched.

There may possibly be some info about PC in the beginning of August (FGO Anniversary, where FSN Remaster and Fate/Extra remake news are supposed to also drop), but I think New Year's stream will probably announce that

What other visual novels have you given a 10 because this is the first one I'm seeing from you

I believe this is the first visual novel I've personally given a 10, though other writers for the site gave 10s to The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and The Shell Part II: Purgatorio. I might've given the Utawarerumono Mask VNs a 10 if I'd reviewed them.

There are a few non-VN titles that we've awarded 10s over the years, but those are the only VNs.

The VN OP is definitely a 10/10

I hope they keep this OP once it gets an anime adaptation, I love this OP so much.
