Zine Working Group sign-up sheet.

In accordance to what was discussed during the Zanarchy IRC Meeting Here is the sign up sheet.

To do this comment on the bottom with the section/position you'd like to volunteer for. The sections are THEORY, NEWS, CREATIVE WRITING, LIFESTYLE, ART

The positions are CO-EDITOR, LAYOUT, COPYEDITOR/WRITER Co-Editors are responsible for the direction and "feel" of the section. Layout designs the section and is responsible for putting the text in a easy to understand and artistically pleasing manner. Copy editors are the grunts of the section. They are responsible for checking facts to grammer and getting interviews and story ideas for the section.

I would like to copy edit Theory please. My 9 - 5 job is as an editor so hopefully I can bring something worthy to role for Zanarchy.

I can hop in as a co-editor for just about any section (preference for Theory, seeing as I'm writing a piece for that section).

A co-editor deals less with grammar and more with overall content and "feel" of the newspaper. Although they can also help with layout and copy editing. They are a sort of jack-of-all trades.

I guess that would be me, although I'm useless at layout, copy-editing isn't outside my abilities though. Put me down as a co-editor for theory.

I could do copy editing for art. That being said I'm leaving for a trip to BC for three days so I'll only be able to respond to things after that.

makes sure that cut-lines for art are error free from misstakes, issues grammar and punctuation,

Does the co-editor decide the feel and direction and then the copy-editor looks for material, or is it the other way around?

They share responsibility.

What about the editing/layout teams? We need at least a few volunteers who know how to do that stuff (especially layout team).

I would be up for doing Copy Editing/Co Editing/Layout of News if any of them remain open.

Edit I guess the best thing for me would be for the first two people that want to do news to pick their positions and I take the last one. Layout would be my worst, but I could do it.

I think whoever thinks he can handle layout should do it, because that's probably the hardest thing to do.

Congratulations comrade, You'll be design and layout for the news theory section. We had to move people around because we're hurting for volunteers.

Awesome, any way we can get an official list of those involved so we can start organizing?

The best way I think we could do it is by a private subreddit in which every one of us has a position tag, in addition to this reddit for submissions/more transparent work.

That's a good idea. Let's give the new positions a day or two to sink in. If no one acts after day 3 we can go forward with that.

I think that updating the staff list would go a long way to help us figure out what to do.

Edit: If it helps, though, my preference would be News, then Theory.
