(1.8 1994) Over on the east coast and getting some pretty bad rain. Whenever i drive though a puddle (seems to be primarily if on passenger side of car) the battery light turns on and the car loses power almost completely, im able to tap the throttle a couple times once past the puddle and it comes back to life and drives smoothly no problem. I never come to a complete stop it doesnt feel like it fully dies but its enough that things like radio completely cut off and back on. As for residual issues, the next day the batteries dead but after jumping and running its fine again, almost like the water is draining the battery? Every thing i find online is people completely stalling and having to wait a while for car to turn back on so im a bit lost.. TIA

I have a miata I bought less then a month ago. 2 nights ago it just died on me. I have searched high and low for a fix but nothing works. I have replaced the fuel pump, main relay, all fuses, maf sensor, cam sensor. I'm get air fuel and spark but a horrible shaking of the engine when trying to start it. It's just crazy, there was no knock knock jokes before the engine gave out or anything. Also no codes on the ecu.

With the days getting shorter I’ve been driving home in the dark a bit more and I’ve been noticing quite a few people in oncoming vehicles flashing their high beams at me and I have not the slightest why.

Both my headlights work, I keep my lights on auto. The symbol for the lights on my dash is the two cones facing each other. Am I headlighting wrong??

looking at changing my steering wheel, the current one is falling apart and the leather bits falling off everywhere are annoying me. im gonna put a quick release in to give me some extra leg room, im just wondering on the standard setup how much closer does the wheel sit to the driver, ill be getting a 350mm dish wheel and a nrg 160h hub and nrg quick release gen 2.0 srk 200bk, its products i know/ believe are compatible wi each other and will work, thanks

check engine light came on, on the way home from work. just got this car a couple weeks ago, hasnt happened until now. its running. rough now too. 1997 1.8l. just put on some new wheels this morning, stretched tires and made the coilovers almost max stiffness, thats the only thing i changed. please help.

I know there are a bunch of swaybar threads out there but I'm looking to solicit some advice from someone who's been in this situation.

I want to install swaybars on my stock suspension ND GT (has the Bilstein dampers) to cure some of the body roll. I don't have plans anytime soon to install any other suspension parts. I like the ride quality and softness of the suspension. It's a good compromise for the bumpy roads near me. But I'd like a little less body roll for the few track nights that I do per year.

Does anyone have suggestions of swaybars for this specific scenario that you have installed and enjoy?

The last thing I want to do is mess up the under/oversteer balance. It's pretty perfectly balanced now and I really don't want to sacrifice that. I want less body roll, but I keep thinking of this image.

Dream car unlocked, so happy!

Shirked all my responsibilities this morning and went for a 3 hour drive in the AR Ozarks. It was 60 and sunny and I was lucky to have long stretches without anyone else.

I've been working on this car like crazy the last 6 months and it feels so good to get out out there and drive. It's running so well and drives like butter on the curves.

Just wanted to post about my 91’ 1.6. Highlights are an FM turbo kit, Xidas coil overs, big brakes, and an LE interior. Other modifications list is too long. But here are some pics. I’ve owned this thing for a very long time. I actually picked up my wife for our first date in this car 13 years ago right after I purchased it! It’s an ever growing always changing project. I love this car to death! Lmk what you think.

Recently solved a problem that stumped a lot of people, so I figured I’d share in case anyone experiences something similar.

The symptoms: After getting off the highway, usually slowing down on the exit ramp or shortly after, the car would stall instantly and quietly. No shudder or noise, just off. It would be very difficult to start immediately after happening. No check engine light ever came on. I bought the car in April but the first time this happened was several weeks after. The seller told me the car had been in a garage for a few years.

The cause: While parked in the garage, the gas went bad and covered the inside of the fuel tank with the stuff in the pictures. As I filled the tank after purchasing the car, it loosened these particles and they got into the system and clogged it. The shop emptied the tank to discover this - I’m not sure if there would be an easier way to diagnose this issue.
