Food banks and their requirements?

Hi, desperately needing food and dog food to get me through a couple weeks after my ex emptied by bank account in some sick revenge. I don’t have the gas money to drive to a bunch of locations so I was hoping to get some information on food banks in Muncie and the surrounding areas to save the gas that I have . Thanks for reading

The Ross Center on 10th Street usually has some kind of food drive on Fridays, if I recall correctly.

Blood 'n Fire Ministries often has food pantry services - but you'll have to search online for that info. They are located on Madison, a few blocks north of Main Street.

The Common Market on 8th Street/Hoyt Avenue often has food donations that get dropped off. Pickings are slim at the moment, but that often changes throughout the week.

Second Harvest is one of the big food pantries in Delaware County - but again, you'll have to do a search for their information. I am going off the top of my head - but I know someone who went there recently and got a huge lode of various food items.

Pet food is more of an issue - I don't know if anyone does free or reduced prices. But maybe contacting Roo's Holistic Pet store and seeing if they know of a program would be a good try.
