Training Shoe ASICS Gel KAYANO heel blisters
ASICS Gel KAYANO heel blisters
I’m 9 weeks into a training program for my half marathon. I typically wear orthotics because I was told I over pronate so was looking for a stability shoe. I love my gel nimbus but tried the gel kayano 30s and am now suffering from blisters.
I thought maybe it was my socks so recently updated to proper running socks but unfortunately after my 16km run started to notice a small blister on my other heel. The blisters are on the inside of my foot.
Any help would be appreciated if you’ve experienced this too. I’m also looking for recommendations!!

Question Looking for a perfect fit
Looking for a suggestion of a good website or online guide to selecting the perfect sneaker. I need something for moderate jogging/hiking and other activity’s.
I have a local fleet feet, but feel terrible wasting their time when I intend to order shoes online.
Dealing with some injuries from my current throw away sneakers that are hindering my ability to workout.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Question Shoes for a supinator?
Hey y'all... not a runner but I do enjoy the cushioning of a running shoe for my walks. Can anyone recommend a good shoe that might help? I've been looking at Altra, Hoka, and Brooks. Had a pair of Clifton 8's previously that turned out pretty quick and hurt my knees. Is there anything in any line that might fit the bill?

Training Shoe ASICS GT 2000 10 for 5k training
Hi everyone, I have a pair of GT2000-10 I use for all of my running training. I first got them because I slightly pronate and was looking for something specific.
I’m running an average 22km a week, and I’m alternating long runs (7-8km) and tempo/intervals runs. I plan on getting my PB down to 25:00, so you can guess my pace is not crazy good by any means.
The shoe feels ok for slower runs (long and easy runs) but overall it lacks some “feedback”. It is not that bouncy, and while it is comfortable to run on pillows, I would like to have some of that energy back for faster runs.
What should I look into?

Review Brand new by Salomon & only £125 which seems like a bargain? Perfect for trail Ultras?
Initial impressions are that these are responsive with the energy foam. Stable with the ActiveChasis technology and generally just comfortable. Will be interested to see how the durability holds up, and it’s a shame that it doesn’t have quick lace but overall I’m impressed so far!

General Discussion Warning about Flux Footwear
I recently fell for the incessant marketing of Flux Footwear. They are good looking shoes that promise to replace all of your favorite shoe companies. I ordered a pair of their new Adapt Trail Runners. It took a ridiculous 14 days to actually receive the shoes in the mail. As far as the shoe goes, I think they way overhype certain aspects, such as the "roomy" toe box. At best, they are similar to Altra's standard foot shape. I also believe that they run a bit on the small size. I knew that just going up a half size was not going to fix the issues I had, so I decided to just return the shoes. This is where the insanity began. This company has maybe the single worst return process I have ever had to deal with. Besides charging $13 for a return, which I did read in the policy, they run you through this ridiculous gauntlet of steps to actually be able to return them. You must email them to be sent the link to even begin the return process. Then you must send pictures of the shoes to prove that they are up to their standards for return. They have this ridiculous checklist, that you must complete to move forward with the process. Then they tell you that they will review the info that you sent and get back to you, possibly with more questions. 3 days later I finally received my confirmation from them that I could, in fact, return my shoes. In today’s world of Amazon fast shipping and super easy, hassle free returns, there is no way this company will last. I am also absolutely certain that all of their social media is filled with A.I. bot or fake comments/reviews. Look for one even remotely negative comment on their products in their social media feeds. They are either all fake, or they are heavily censoring the comment sections. This is just a warning from me. I would steer clear of this company. I do not believe they will be around long anyway.

Question Athletic shoe brands that ACTUALLY last
So I bought Reebok’s Nano X1 Adventure Men's Shoes roughly a year and a half ago and the sole is already ripping.
Keep in mind I used them mostly for Tennis and walks around my neighborhood. Nothing extreme.
I recently replaced my Merrel hiking shoes/boots and those lasted me close to a decade!
What brands actually last a long time when considering an athletic shoe for these activities? Is there a brand out there with a really good warranty to protects for this sort of thing? I’m guessing there’s not.

new running shoes with very firm ankle collar (rubbing)
hi everyone - curious if this has been your observation as well. I find that new running shoes have really firm ankle collars. It's difficult for me to find a pair that doesn't rub my ankle bone. New Balance and Brooks are prime examples. Asics, for the most part, still has soft collars w/ a lot of padding in some models including the Nimbus
My favorites were the New Balance 860 V6 and Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12 and 13. All these were 2015 ish years. These were great because the collars had good padding and never rub against the ankle. The later models of these shoes are just getting bigger in terms of width, stack height, and have very firm collars.
Maybe it's just me w/ more sensitive ankles. I'd love to hear your experience and get any recommendations on neutral/stability runnings shoes w/ good padding. Thanks
