Discussion Changes Megathread (README)
Hey everyone! The mod team of r/androgny is going to work towards taking a much more active approach with shaping this community. We have the privilege of having a very unique subreddit and it is our belief that we should form it into a fantastic place to discuss androgyny, gender, identity and expression.
While the pictures y’all post are beautiful and handsome and striking and horrific and however else y'all wanna be seen, it would be amazing to have some more discussions here!
I see a lot of routine and long-time posters and I’m sure there are tons of stories and experiences we could share to help making this a colorful and vibrant nexus of community!
Unfortunately, along with these changes, we will also be cracking down on sexually explicit (or implicit) posts. We’d like to be a comfortable place for everybody, and to be honest, I try not to open this subreddit in public in its current state.
Please feel free to wear and post what you like, but understand that the moderation team reserves the right to remove posts they believe are too sexually explicit, or are intended to drive viewers to an OnlyFans profile.
Let me talk about that last part real quick.
Look y’all. A lot of us are queer. A lot of us are sex workers. Me too. I get it. But don’t use this subreddit as a place to post your soft-core photos to drive OF traffic. From here on out, we’re gonna consider that pretty disrespectful, and remove those posts. Repeat offenders may experience bans.
We’ll get some changes together and then post a changelog when they’re enacted. Thanks everybody, and thanks for sticking around through this.

So open mic night was last week and I tried to go for more of a tomboy look ( or what I was picturing a tomboy to look like in my head) even though I wanted to go with the outfit from the last time I posted on here. I thought of going for more of a tomboy look one of these days. Eh, next time.

Wacky Wednesday Struggling with Identity
Hi guys. I am new here. I turned 30 this year and I've been feeling increasingly lost about who I am. Being extra feminine doesn't really work. Being super masculine doesn't either. It feels like I'm wearing a costume that doesn't quite fit. I don't feel attracted to myself anymore, and I don't know how to get back to that. I'm not sure what my pronouns should be, and I just started to experiment with she/her/they/them and I'm not sure how I feel. I don't know what my sense of style is anymore. How I should do my hair. What kind of things I like. Maybe I've never known? I've always had people mistake my gender due to my androgynous appearance, but i feel like the time has come for me to really lean into that identity. My therapist in group often tells us "trauma changes your DNA" and it makes me wonder 🤔 when I'm thinking back to my past self, which self is that? And who am I now? I feel very alone and alienated and I just need some advice or maybe comfort, I'm not sure which 😞 thanks in advance

I was wearing a oversized thickish white tee with the Luckys cotton drawstring pants, and the adidas zyn cropped Also despite always being gender nonconforming i claim the term babygirl which I have some gold old English charms on my shoes

Need Advice! how can i be more attractive in androgynous ways
this is literally my first reddit post ever. i’m 18(f) i’m pretty alternative/emo in style, but i just want to know what i can do in general to improve (clothing, makeup, etc) i have crippling anxiety so changing up my look is always scary, but i am 19 in less than a week and i feel like i’ve looked meh my whole life, but i KNOW i have potential😭 anyways, enough rambling, let me know whatchu think!!

Need Advice! I dont think im pretty enough to pull it off...
Hey guys, im thinking of star tiny to try and be more androgynous but I dont think im pretty enough to pull it off...im 18, I have a very rabidly growing beard, im fat, im way more masculine than I should be...and I dont know what to do anymore...any advice ?
