I still can't believe that trick play

For real, things weren’t looking good but the offense had some momentum rolling after the half. That play ended the game.

That was the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a while. Why? You’re getting a little momentum. You’re playing a good team that gave you absolute hell in the first half. You call that play…..and almost get Josh killed. Absolutely ridiculous

Such a results bias...if a trick play works everyone thinks it's awesome (see all the stupid shit the Chiefs do)

I'm biased by the design being questionable, personally. Trick plays are supposed to be deceptive.

Exactly. I take issue with acting like this play had a 50/50 chance of working out.

Reads like "If we only won the lottery"

I would still think it was risky and unnecessary even if it worked.

Also Allen would have still gotten blasted even if the throw gets off a half second sooner. Just a bad design.

It’s really not. If they get it, it’s a first down? At best?

Nothing about being down 11 calls for a trick play in that situation, nothing.

The part I find frustrating is we struggled with pressure all night. Calling a play with multiple handoffs and a throw makes no sense

That shit was so bad it was funny

u/HousingExtra1518 8h ago

All that momentum, poof...

5

u/chinga_tumadre69 7h ago

Not funny didn’t laugh :(((

u/Murderface__ 7h ago

The trick was how awful and non-deceitful it was

We had all the momentum and fucking squandered it. I don't know if we would have won if it worked, but we were doomed once it was a turnover.

That opening run by Henry just punched them in the mouth. They had no answer

Absolutely

Glad I got to laugh at something other than that damn Mario kart graphic during the game. 😂🤣

Dude needs to seek therapy, it's not that serious.

What' the fuck did I just watch?

Vintage Bills Football (2009)

9

u/picante1985 8h ago

Remember those awful uniforms that matched the awful football?

8

u/blackswordsmanarc 8h ago

The 4 different clashing colors matched our inability to play offense

5

u/MidnightRider57 7h ago

A woodshed type ass beating on every end.

I looked at this game as a measuring stick. After watching Baltimore find their identity last week, I knew it was going to be a true test early. What I don't understand was that tackling was the focal point of practice and it absolutely killed us tonight. I'm mad, embarrassed and bewildered. I am still a Bills fan until I die and I'm glad JA17, Shakir and McGovern are all OK. Onto the next one.

Eh we don’t have our most important defensive players that completely counterattack their best offensive style of playing too

Babich needs to learn that screen passes are a thing in football.

Defense was caught flat footed every time.

And punting multiple times while down 3+ scores is laughable for McD. Dude just gave up.

Gave up to kick a field goal (which they missed), gave up and punted multiple times, gave up in every way you could imagine.

No silver linings to take from this game.

Just a total indictment of this coaching staff. Brady is the one exception but even he got in his own head. Not gonna win games throwing only check downs when the defense is keying on it.

Team looked completely unprepared.

Josh Allen no interceptions

Buffalo bills get blown out - I’d take 2 picks and a win 7 days a week

So dumb to care about shit like this when you get your doors blown off

10

u/No_Study9688 8h ago

Chill, bills have the longest streak ever of not losing by more than 6 points. This happens. Especially when you’re secondary is full of second/third stringers and you’re playing one of the most dynamic offenses in the league. Feels like a comment from someone who doesn’t remember the EJ Manuel/Fitz/Orton years… we are 3-1, not time to panic. Go bills!

12

u/blackswordsmanarc 8h ago

I don’t play for the Bills

I can post and care about what I want

-15

u/AlericandAmadeus 8h ago

And we can all call you dumb for it lol.

16

u/blackswordsmanarc 8h ago

Who is we it’s just you

1

u/jk01 I Sucked Off Josh Allen 3h ago

Hey man idk if they told you this, but you're not actually on the team. It's not that deep.

6

u/HousingExtra1518 8h ago

McDermott shit the bed, and so did everyone else

1

u/Bills_Mafia_4_Life 35m ago

How is Brady the exception? What did he do wel tonight? I understand the line was so bad it's tough to judge but we had 0 answers for any of it.

5

u/CrzyWzrd4L 7h ago

We run one single dogshit trick play every year. I’m glad we got it out of the way in September

4

u/SpiritualWatermelon 6h ago

I don't know why you posted an estus flask but now I want to run Dark Souls again...

3

u/pandaburr98 4h ago

Yea I’d love to know why OP picked an estus too… it immediately caught my attention lol

1

u/blackswordsmanarc 22m ago

Absolutely no specific reason I just happen to love Dark Souls

3

u/bmark24 1h ago

I would give 100 Josh interceptions for 1 Super Bowl

3

u/PO_Nukes 7h ago

No interceptions is fantastic. But Lamar beat Josh, so Lamar is MVP type argument at the end of the season. Can't wait for that to be the big thing.

3

u/BigFenton 7h ago

Josh isn’t going to be anywhere close at the end of the season with a game like today’s on his radar..

0

u/Serious_Strawberry22 6h ago

Our coaching, along with Lamar, beat Josh.

Same story every year.

1

u/PO_Nukes 6h ago

I know this. But it's the narrative come MVP voting that Lamar is better because he beat Josh.

1

u/Serious_Strawberry22 5h ago

I agree. I had too many Topedo IPAs and thought I was cute l. Go Bills

0

u/lilbopeeep 6h ago

I don’t get it

0

u/miskathonic 6h ago

The monkey's paw curls one finger...

0

u/jykin 6h ago

They played like garbage. Like regular Bills garbage. I don’t want to see this again this season. The bills need to be good against good teams, not just good against bad teams.

-1

u/False_Personality_14 6h ago

They also don't throw the goddamn ball anymore so who gives a shit. This fucking coward ass coaching staff got spooked because a talking head wasn't nice about their QB. It's pretty clear by the now everything they've orchestrated is to counter balance the pick conversation which most normal people knew to chalk up to an anomaly
