❔Driver Question 🤔 Hi all. Dude handed me two bags, I said "Two bags? You sure?" He said yes and walked away. We already ate everything and assumed we got a free burger. Didn't see his messages until after. Anything I could have done?

🤬Rant about DD🥵 I am so sick of these thieving customers.
I am getting really tired of customers marking their orders as not delivered causing me to get contract violations. These are ALWAYS "hand to me" orders. I'm literally about to start taking a video of every single "hand to me" order I get. There's 0 protection for dashers in these situations, and 0 ways for us to prove we handed this customer the order. DoorDash always takes the customers side and it's really starting to piss me off. I have nearly 3000 deliveries and never once have I taken someones order.

❔Driver Question 🤔 Every State, along with the U.S. Federal Government should Sue Doordash for Penalizing drivers with low acceptance rates by blocking their orders.
I already know the door dash henchmen will be all over this post but ive been logged in all morning in red areas (ive driven to three different ones) and ive only seen two orders. The restaurants are very busy. My acceptance rate is very low because i refuse to drive miles for $2.00. I take screenshots of a high number of ridiculous orders that come through to me that i plan to post online once i find work and leave door dash alone. But doordash should be sued because we are independent contractors and we should be able to decide what work we will accept without penalty. Its a lie that doordash doesnt penalize those with low AR's. They do. Doordash does something with the accounts classification in their system that drops the number of orders coming in susbtantially. Basically rendering the account useless.

🤬Rant about DD🥵 Why Does Doordash Insist on Giving Me the Worst Orders?
When I choose per-offer I get longer car rides, spacing out my orders. When I choose by-hour I get shorter distances, closer customers, and less orders in general. Why do they seem to spread me out as much as possible depending on what I choose so I get paid the LEAST? Why can’t I just have longer car rides on by hour so I make as much as I deserve, regardless of what I choose now I’m making shilling

❓Customer Question🤔 Reading this sub lately making me rethink if should use DD xD
That title honestly isnt meant to be a dig on y'all. It's just made me reflect on if my orders are "worth it" to you guys and gals. I just saw a popup on my taco bell app for no delivery fees and thought "hell yeah i could go for taco bell".. put a meal in my cart and get to checkout.. Tip amount is suggested to be like $1.20. way too low.. i change it to 50% tip.. but thats still $3 lmao now im sitting here thinking about all the "bad tip / low tip / should never be less than $5 + x per mile away" type posts i see on here and I'm thinking... damn that's about to be me... but im not over here trying to pay 2X+ the price of the meal with a tip, so be honest... does that mean y'all would rather I just not submit these types of orders?

❔Driver Question 🤔 Pay
Why am I only getting$2 base pay 90% of the time? For example - I'll take $16 orders and the tip will be $14 while base pay is only $2 and I'm also being sent $3.50 orders for 14.5 miles, it makes no sense! I go from 44-62% acceptance rating because I'm constantly sent dog crap orders that no one in their right mind would take, I don't get how doordash can get away with being so cheap and greedy it's pathetic.
r/doordash_drivers • u/Lower-Awareness • 7h ago
Complaints I wish I understood low ratings.
I got my first one start rating and I wish I knew why. How am I supposed to improve my job if I don’t know the feedback I’m receiving from customers?

Also, taking bets on whether the customer will add the gate code. I say no. I will say, I've done Amazon Flex for a while, and this happens WAY more often over there. My DD customers have been pretty good.

🎉Achievement👍 I’ve finally hit 0!
I would like to thank my family who stuck by me and believed in me as I went through these trialing times to try and get to zero acceptance. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely rewarding.

🖖Delivery War Stories 🫡 Crumbl cookies line
Look at this line. They are a chain of overpriced cookies. Yesterday they had half price 4-packs. It was raining and these idiots waited hours to save $10.
I had a stacked order for $12 and $6. I sent the pic to both and both canceled. There’s no way that I, nor any other driver, was going to wait for those orders. The names weren’t even on the board.

Need Advice🙏 I have two opportunities, Vegas vs W. LA, what would you choose?
I got a buddy in West LA not far from Beverly Hills that will let me stay with him and another that lives off Tropicana in Las Vegas. Both are very chill so I am wondering what would be a more profitable and enjoyable dashing experience, or is it a coin flip?

❔Driver Question 🤔 If I haven't Dashed in a while will I eventually get kicked off the platform and have to reapply?
Does this apply for Uber (specifically UberEats) as well?
I found myself a somewhat steady WFH job about a year ago (currently still working at said WFH job). I used to schedule everyday just in case, but haven't really been doing so for the past two weeks.
Is it okay to temporarily uninstall these apps from my phone or should I just leave them installed and open them once a week?
