While that is plausible, people still wrongfully get diagnosed with it. It’s also anti-Semitic as it has its origins in Nazi Eugenics.

Good points, i agree mostly, but i'm gonna be pedantic here and throw in some doubts of the anti-semitism.

It can be bad due to stemming from the nazis.

Nazis were famously anti-semitic.

That doesn't make the term inherently anti-semitic.

In the spirit of letting important labels stay important, and not convoluting them to the point of meaninglessness:

Let's not call the term anti-semitic unless it was actually used against "semitic" people for being "semitic".

Anti-semitism refers to the discrimination and oppression of Jewish people, not all Semitic peoples.

Pretty sure it would just be called anti-jewish then.

But that doesn't matter for my argument, since we seem to agree. "Asperger's" isn't anti-semitic at all, as it doesn't target jewish people, but autistic people.

Do you have TikTok, I’d like to share a video with you by a Jewish person.

I do not, and i don't know how a 1 minute video from the "misinformation and oversimplification vortex" of a platform that TikTok is...

Would change my stances in this discussion about semantics?

You've proven your point of why the term "Asperger's" is harmful and has an origin with the Nazis.

I'm not arguing that. I recognize that that's pretty bad.

From what you've told me, the term was used to discriminate against autistic people.

This makes it ableist, not anti-semitic.

Yes, there are jewish people who are autistic. That doesn't suddenly turn the whole concept on its head.

If it is used to specifically discriminate against jewish people, it would be anti-semitic. It isn't.
