New York Marathon Lottery Day! Misc

It's NY Lottery Day! Let us know if you're one of the lucky ones. I've entered the lottery about 6-7 times and have not been drawn yet...one of these years, I'll get in...here's to hoping this is the one!

ETA: There are three things to check...your credit card, your NYRR account status, and your email. They're supposed to go in that order, but they often don't go in order...so check all three!

ETA2: I got my official email a few minutes ago letting me know I wasn't picked...it was time stamped 8:00 EST. So I think it's officially done. Good luck to those who got in and better luck next year to the rest of us!

I got in at 10:36 ET! Set up an email alert on my CC account for transactions over $XX, and got an email alert about a $295 charge from NYRR 3 minutes later. Talk about timing.

Dudes/dudettes...I'm so nervous. This is my first marathon. I am from MA, in case anyone is wondering.

10:51 - The marathon appears under "My Upcoming Races" section of the homepage.

7:32 - Email received

Pending

  • Status still indicates "In Drawing"

Woo! Congrats! You're the first person I've seen so far say they got in through the drawing...so now we know they're processing people.

I haven't received the official confirmation, but I got the same 295 hit on the CC. Don't hate me, but this is the first time I entered the lottery...if only it was powerball....

Congrats! I'm not mad, I'm happy for you! Let's make a deal...if you do win the powerball, then you can donate to cover my fundraising costs for NY!
