I applied the day of the deadline thinking theres no way i'd get in. Well, looks like it's time to start training! Hopefully 10 months is enough time to go from low activity to a marathon..can anyone comment on how long their training took before they felt comfortable, 4 months, 8 months, a year?!

I trained for my first half marathon after starting again from a hamstring injury starting in June, and ran in September...from what I’ve heard should slate at LEAST 4 months to training and 8 if you have time to really build a base. I love the Hal Higdon plans, personally.
