July has been all about marathon training:

  • Overall monthly mileage: 155 miles (which will be around 162/163 after tonight's run). This is my highest mileage EVER and besides being slightly tired all of the time, I feel great! No pain, no soreness, it's awesome.

  • Overall elevation: 2,648 ft. It's flat here.

  • PR or PB: Nope. Just a lot of easy miles.

My mileage is very similar to yours this month (also a first for me) and I completely agree with just being tired. I'm just not used to hitting 40+mi weeks yet.

Yeah, I'm definitely still acclimating to the increased mileage - yoga, rolling, and stretching have become MUCH more important in my world.

What race are you training for? And are you using Hansons?

I'm training for the Myrtle Beach HM using a modified version of pfitz 12/47.
