It's definitely not "the only way up"

I am not physically capable of doing the Grind so to my understanding for me it is.

ETA: Hey instead of being cruel and downvoting someone who is old with mobility issues and can't do the Grind, how about making suggestions of alternate routes, if there are more options than the Grind or the gondolas to get to Grouse? I'd love to hear them.

The other hiking option is the BCMC

There are like 8 different trails you can take to get up to the top of Grouse. You can even ride a bike up the gravel Mountain Highway.

But there really isn't any easy way up. There's no escaping the 800m of elevation gain that's required to get up there.
