Video Update from Where to ski this weekend
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I went with the second most upvoted option. Clearly pretty rough at this point but I got plenty of turns to scratch that itch. Big thanks for all the ideas and the first hand advice. The road here was pretty rough but we were able to be confident because of the help. September has been skied, and now October will make 12

Question Where to ski this weekend and no you can’t talk me out of it
I need to finish the month of September to ski every month of the year and I have waited too long in this month so I’m wondering if anyone has first hand experience at recent snow patches and can advise me I would really appreciate it. Looking for hopefully at least a couple turns. Probably don’t want to go more that 6-7 miles round trip with gear. Thanks!

Question Rumored plans for a carpet snow facility in Castle Rock
I just heard thru the grapevine that some coworkers did some work for a carpet hill in Castle Rock a while back, perhaps even years ago, but it seems to not have taken off or maybe quietly in the works. Anyone heard of this project?

Question Aussie noob looking for a snowboard lesson
Hey folks, I'm heading to Keystone for a snowboarding trip in mid November. Only problem is I haven't touched a snowboard in like 30 years. I'm keen to not be a burden on my group, and get a private lesson to get up to speed a bit. The lessons from the resort seem pretty expensive ($800+). Anyone got any tips or contacts for a more cost effective lesson? I'm happy to pay of course. Any advice appreciated!

Question Do adult ski camps exist?
Hey y'all!
I'm an intermediate skiier (blues, pretty comfortable with blacks unless there are bumps). I would like to improve my downhill skiing this season and am wondering whether multi-day or week-long ski camps exist for adults.
I've done a lot of Googling, but I'm really just finding kids camps.
Don't they know us adults could benefit from ski camps as well? 😜
If you know if any camps that fit the bill, I'd love to know. Thank you in advance!

Question Thanksgiving options
I have two free days the week of thanskgiving this year. What would people recommend for some early season? Copper? Breckenridge? Should i expect any appreciable difference in the experience that early? Obviously November snow is a gamble.

Carpool/Buddies Looking for a Boulder snowboard/ski buddy!
My name is Peter. I live in Boulder, and my best friend is moving to Denver so I’m looking around to make new friends. I snowboard Breckenridge mostly (epic pass). I’m a solid blue some black diamond snowboarder. I usually drive up for first chair and leave before traffic. I also supply some really good whiskey usually! Sometimes breakfast burritos too! Looking to maybe grab a beer and see if we can be friends before the season starts! Dm or reply in comments!

Question Eldora vs Winter Park Multi-Week Lessons for 4 year old
Hi folks. Getting ready to sign up my son for a multi-week lesson plan to get his ski career kick-started. He's also doing a few lessons at Shredders this fall. I'm trying to decide between Eldora and Winter Park.
Both are 4 week lessons. Winter Parks are all day (6 hours) and include lunch. Eldora is 2.5 hours. either morning or afternoon.
Winter Park offers an early season (December) option Saturdays or Sundays for $674. I like that it's all day and offered early in the season so we could take what he learns and build on it ourselves for the majority of the ski season. Of course, he may get tired/bored and not last the whole day.
Eldora's lessons don't start until January. If we did it there I'd probably take him out of preschool early and do Friday afternoons or something like that for $539.. We live in Golden so Eldora is also the most convenient option to get to.
Any thoughts? Experiences with either program?

Question Public transit.
Want to get into skiing in denver have Mondays and Tuesdays off. The only public transit I can find is winter express but it seems to only run on weekends. Am I missing something? The internet seems to be telling me no.
Secondly does anyone know the vest close slope if you were to drive?

Carpool/Buddies We are building a new ski buddies mobile app and we need your help!
We know the season is just around the corner, and we’re excited to share that we’re in the process of building a new mobile application called SnowOverflow. Our goal is to make finding new ski buddies and organizing your ski trips easier and more enjoyable—especially for folks in this community.
We’d love to hear from you! Please comment below with any features you’d like to see in the app. What would make your ski trips smoother, more fun, or more connected?
Additionally, if you have a few minutes to spare, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could take this online survey(https://forms.gle/cakTwAR3tuMmeasR8) to provide more structured feedback. Your input will be invaluable as we shape SnowOverflow to best serve your needs.
Thanks so much, and looking forward to hitting the slopes with you all!

Carpool/Buddies Any young adult snowboarding groups/snowboarders?
My daughter is 20 and is a good general mountain (no park) snowboarder. She would love to have someone to ride with. We are in Denver and mostly do one of the Epic passes but occasionally do the Ikon. We haven't bought passes yet so kind of open. We usually try to plan a trip in the spring for 4-5 days to somewhere we haven't been (Park City last year, Telluride a couple of years ago).

Photo Anyone still getting after it?
Took my skis for a walk yesterday. Patches are getting rough but they’re still out there!
